I'm 15 and I have tried waxing my upper lip 2 times. People say the hair is suppose to grow back thinner but in my case it seems to grown back thicker. Generally I have been really hairy even when I was younger. So what other options is there for me? I have hair on my face too but that is not bothering me, I just want to get rid of my upper lip hair. Bleaching is not very effective on the hair. Currently I have tried waxing with nair wax strips, is there a better brand of wax? Or what should I do?Waxing facial hair?
use a creme facial hair remover from a drugstore or threading at certain salons and whatever you do just don't shave it that's the worst...Waxing facial hair?
Generally with waxing the hair grows back the same or slightly thinner. It will never make it get thicker. It may be that your facial hair is getting darker as you age or that after having the hair gone for a few weeks it seems thicker when it grows back.
If the nair wax strips are working for you I'd stick with them, but if you'd like to experiment a bit the nad's facial wax kits work fairly well or you could try a chemical hair remover (just make sure to do a test patch before you use one on your face).
ummnn use a razor
it is a fact that once you wax your hair will become thicker.
nair wax strips aren't that good.
i would prefer going to a local hair salon
it should be pretty cheap around 3-5 dollars
and its very quick
Dont try to wax it anymore. Try putting Sun-in on it because that will lighten the hair. Waxing is just paniful there and since its not working try something else.
This sounds strange but it works,
Take a emmery board you know the cardboard type rub it in a circular motion and it will take off the hair and leave your skin smooth, don't do it hard or you will get like a rug burn and that's worse then then hair.
I would go to a nail place, they are really good at it. Its only $5-$10
Is Nair wax just regular wax or is that like the weird Nair stuff that burns your skin? I use Sally Hansen wax for face and eyebrows. It can get a little messy (it comes in a jar and you have to microwave it) but you just apply the wax with a orange stick or the platic applicator (they give you both in the box) and then peel the wax right off after maybe 15 -20 seconds of letting it dry. You don't even need a cloth strip to put over it. I love it.
i know how you feel.
if waxing doesnt do you any good, do threading. get it done professionally, because its hard to do it yourself.
or use a silk-epil. those work great.

check out that site for more info.
or use a cream.
good luck.
oh and whatever you do, dont shave. you will get even more hair, plus you will have stubble. and you dont wanna look like a man....
Waxing will always do this, no matter which wax you use. Just bleach you lip hair. It wont grow out fast at all. When you shave or wax, hair tends to grow back quickly. If you leave the hai there, growth slows down. So just bleach it. They make bleach kits for facial hair... look for one at a drugstore.
Sally Hansen has some nice products......
You can always look into laser hair removal.. I am, and I'm 15 years old with the same exact problem.
I currently get my hair THREADED. My hair usually comes back in a week, but when I get it threaded, it comes in lighter, AND it takes 6 weeks or more to grow back...
;)
Get your mom to take you to one of the nail places -- they do eyebrows and lip hair removal as well and it really is not that expensive -- good luck
DO NOT listen to her with the razor nonsence. trust me, im 21 - ive been shaving %26amp; waxing since i was 14. ur best bet hun is to go to a pro. and let them do it. those do it yourself at home things never do waxing justice.
pro is the way to go - and its only like 5 bucks. - money WELL spent. i just got mine done two days ago
:o)
