Does Threading/Waxing/Plucking Eyebrows Really Improve Facial Features?

hi....is the above question just a myth..or does it reallyyy OPEN UP your features...if so how..??????

sorry if its a weird question i was just wondering :)

xxDoes Threading/Waxing/Plucking Eyebrows Really Improve Facial Features?
yes, but threading is better than other.Does Threading/Waxing/Plucking Eyebrows Really Improve Facial Features?
take a look at drew barrymore. Over the last 15 years she's done both heavy haired eyebrows and pin-thin eyebrows. There's definately a difference, key is to find the right one for you. Best option, start off defining your eyebrow and shaping it slightly, there's this thing to be wary of, over-pluckage. You can always remove hair, if its still too thick, but u can't as easily put back hair (without waiting for re-growth), should it become a little to thin.
if done properly....definitely YES!
It adds shape to your face!
Absolutely!!! I would suggest for eyebrows, to have someone at a salon wax them. Then you can pluck the strays as they grow back.
if you groom your eyebrows properly, they create a frame for your face. They enchance your eyes.
definately!
no. waxing more than 4 times a month causes wrinkles and dries out your poures
i would say yes it give your face an open look and shows the color in your eye lids :)

How do i get rid of facial hair without using razorz wax creams and laser hair removal?

i ve tried everything to get rid of my facial hair except for laser hair removal bc it gives u acne...and i'm allergic to wax and other hair removal creams..and the razor burns my skin ....ANY HELP HERE???

=] How do i get rid of facial hair without using razorz wax creams and laser hair removal?
this thing called the tweezie you can get it in walmart or just google it and you can buy it online its like a little pen and ir pulls your hair from the roots so your hair doesnt grow back for 6 weeks. Its only 20$How do i get rid of facial hair without using razorz wax creams and laser hair removal?
tweezers are about the only thing that you haven't mentioned. those would work, they hurt though depending on where the hair is.
Since when does laser hair removal give you acne? Do NOT shave your face...bad idea anyways. There are ladies who pluck hairs with strings...weird but it works great. So find one of them.
Just get 2 strings and plug them out
nothing but tweezing, you should order some special sensitive skin shaving gel so that the razor wont burn as much.

  • Is the gel in the nads facial wand, a wax of some sort?

will using the wand on unibrow (hair not very thick) make it grow back darker and thicker? Is the gel in the nads facial wand, a wax of some sort?
I don't think that it's a kind of wax as you don't have to heat it before applying. But by ripping off the hair from your skin the roots are removed as well, that's why the hair grows back thinner and sometimes even slower. Good luck with that!Is the gel in the nads facial wand, a wax of some sort?
    it shouldnt

wax is good for you and makes your hair grow back slower and thinner

shaving on the other hand will make it grow back thicker

If you wax facial hair, does it grow back quicker and thicker?

Not in my experience, shaving causes the thicking, waxing seems to cause thinning, and eventually a lot of the hairs will not grow back ...

the downside is ingrown hairs if you are not really careful with disinfecting (i use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab) ... if you apply makeup the same day, you are likely to get clogged pores, too ...If you wax facial hair, does it grow back quicker and thicker?
no. It only appears to be growing back thicker because you went from having nothing to having the hair again. Nothing you do to remove hair will make it grow back thicker. If that was the case no one would complain about thin hair because all they would have to do is cut it off and it would grow back thicker..If you wax facial hair, does it grow back quicker and thicker?
No, but it is painful and can make your face brake out. I use dibilatory cream that removes hair. works better.
yes it does. try bleaching the hair instead ,it is much more better.
The more you wax hair the finer it will become. I don't have facial hair but I have all of my other hairy areas waxed! And they all are much finer after years and years of waxing.

Sometimes over time the follicles can become so damaged that some of them will even stop producing a hair.
half these ppl have no idea what there talking about....

if you shave your facial hair or any hair for that matter it grows back thicker and faster and sometimes darker...if you wax it grows back alot slower and thinner as well and wont hurt as much the next time because the hair is thinner and there isn't as much...so i suggest going to a salon and getting it professionally done because they know what their doing...depending where the hair is on your face most places dont charge over 30$....30$ being for the whole face...
it doesn't.....how could it when the hair that u see is really dead. the real stuff is under your skin a razor would have no effect on your hair but it may look it for a while
NO I DON'T THINK SO BUT THEN AGAIN I NEVER TRY ED IT
    yes plz avoid it
    yeah!
No on both counts as far as my personal experience!
its ok 2 wax. hair do not become thick.
    Hi,

I work in a beauty salon and we have many peeps coming in for there tashes to be removed!

The hair doesnt come back thicker or quicker as its removed from the root it will take some weeks to come back again but hair grows in different rates so some might come back sooner than others. It doesnt come back thinner but it does appear tho be thinner as the end is tapiered creating a smoother finer hair.

as some have said it can cause spots when make up is applied and yes in growing hairs can happen. Using tea tree lotion afterwards can help as its a anti bacterial and soothing. I would only advise facial waxing to be done professionally in a salon.

    Xx
yes, it does. But what i do, i wax it, then just continue plucking it when it grows back out. Its a little painful but it works. your hair will come out less thick
    no.

shaving it will make it grow back quicker and appear thicker, this is because the hair now has a blunt end from shaving instead of a tapered end, as it would actually grow.

Waxing will possibly do damage to the folicle, potentially preventing regrowth of the hair. (this does not happen to every hair every time - but it does happen)
No, in my experience you should be good for a while (up to 3wks). It depends on how coarse your hair is.
No if u wax facial hair it would grow out thicker but it wont grow until like two weeks
no waxing is ripping the hair out of the follicle which damages the follicle, including its nerve endings so each time it will hurt less and less, which also sends it into a sort of shock and is weaker and weaker everytime the hair has to grow back. another option than many people dont know about is something called threading. its a middeleastern hair removal technique and in the middle east the women do not like to have ANY body hair it is found extremly unatractive. try and look it up online for your area it is a service i absolutly love. my skin has never felt so soft.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Sally Henson is decent, you can get it at CVS or Walmart. Maybe $3

If you are looking to wax your facial hair there are a wide variety of products available for sale at Walmart or any drug store. They may be different from what you are used to, but they do work. Some even come in a roller. Heat it, apply, slap on the strips (they come in the box) and yank. Like all wax it hurts to do, but it's effective and EASY.Does anyone know where you can buy hard wax for facial hair? The type you melt in the microwave?

a lot of women - you'd be surprised how many - just shave.

  • I wax but my facial hair still shows a little, and grows back quickly?

How do i get rid of my facial hair, or at least stop making it from showing?

I can't bleach or do a special thing to get rid of it. maybe something simple?I wax but my facial hair still shows a little, and grows back quickly?
waxing doesn't last long and its not always the best source. if you go to a salon you can get threaded...it hurts like hell and yes WILL make your eyes water..hurts more than waxing. But you will soon get used to it. threading gets the root of the hair and lasts twice as long as waxing. waxing just gets some of the hair but not all the way to the root. why do you wax if i can ask?????I wax but my facial hair still shows a little, and grows back quickly?
    YOUR A MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm, not bleaching it. If your dark haired, that'll be utterly ridiculous. Laser surgery, costs like $300. This is if you really, really want to get rid of it.
I would use a bleaching cream or a depilatory cream. The bleaching cream will lighten and the depilatory will take the hair off completely temporarily of course.
You have dark hair, and light skin. You could easily have it lasered. It would never come back then.

It would require a few treatments, but if you want it permanent, then you should look into it.
You should try threading, a hair removal technique using thread. It's not that painful and lasts for a quite a long time
well u might just have to shave it very often

Serious question,Do any women have problems with facial hair as I do? I have tried waxing !?

I found with waxing at a salon it came back!! Any help please!!Serious question,Do any women have problems with facial hair as I do? I have tried waxing !?
Yes, many women do but in some it does not show up so much if there hair colouring is fair.

Also, facial hair (especially on the chin and upper lip) can be caused by a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which causes hormonal imbalances.

As for a permanent removal, Electrolysis was the thing that worked for me. It is a bit painful and you do need several sessions but it removed the hairs once and for all.. You can pay for 10 minutes at a time rather than having a long session.

Never shave the hairs please cos that makes them grow back quicker and more thickly.

Good Luck!Serious question,Do any women have problems with facial hair as I do? I have tried waxing !?
Yes had a problem for years it was started by a hormone problem Polycystic Ovary syndrome. Use tweezers or hair remover. Oh and shaving doesnt make them grow back quicker or thicker, sorry Lolly9 but the Endocrinologist told me he could never understand why we women wasted so much money on potions and creams when shaving did exactly the same job. All it does is blunts the ends of the hair when they grow out therefore you may think its thicker but its not . He did go into great detail too much to share here.

Depends on the time of year summer I use tweezers and cream winter I just shave them off every so often.

Its one of those problems that none of us like but there are hundreds of women out there in the same boat. Dont worry and go and get your hormone levels checked there may be something they can do to help.
it will always grow back. waxing makes hair lighter %26amp; less noticable than shaving. I also use tweezer.
have you had your hormone level checked? you might be having an imbalanced level of hormon which results to growth of thick facial hair.
I suggest that you use Sally Hansen Cream Bleach, which you can find at drugstores like CVS. They aren't hard to use and lighten your hair until it's almost unnoticeable. They are also much less painful than continuously waxing.
Try Jolen, it's not a wax but a creme bleach that lightens excess dark hair.
What kind of hair?yes it does grow back.

It is is a ';real'; problem (real understood that it is abnormal, as we all have facial hair), then go to a beautician and have a consultation -could well be free - to have electrolysis or laser removal.
    i got a birdie eye-brow ( 1 eye-brow)

Guys is it possible to wax your facial hair?

i'm getting so tired of shaving.Guys is it possible to wax your facial hair?
Don't think so as the facial hair in guys is coarse hair. So, it would be almost impossible to wax these hair. Even if one does, it would be terribly painful.Guys is it possible to wax your facial hair?
It is possible - if you can stand the pain - and it will still grow back, eventually. Life is not always the way it's supposed to be. It's just the way it is. They way you cope with it is what makes the difference.
Sure, it's also possible to ram your head into a concrete wall, I'd imagine that'd be less painful.

Can i use candle wax to remove unwanted facial hair?

and how... could i melt it and as it melts take some and apply it on my face? Can i use candle wax to remove unwanted facial hair?
I don't believe I would chance it. Though it does sound like you probably could use it, it might do some damage to your skin. Can i use candle wax to remove unwanted facial hair?
Candle wax does not have the right consistently. It will just get hard when it dries and while it will peel off it won't remove hair. It also gets way too hot in liquid form to put on your face. The wax for candles is designed to fuel a steady flame. You could burn yourself quite badly.

You need a soft sticky wax with a lower melting point for hair removal. It often is formulated with moisturizers.
I think it's too... thick you know? I think it would crumble.
No its not the right kind of wax. It's to soft. Sorry!
No it has too much oil in it.

go to the store %26amp; buy some Sally Hansen wax. Its a totally different type of wax to remove hair.
oh god no. I am a licensed body waxer and no no no, candle wax is not even close to the kind of wax we use. It doesn't have enough stick basically to pull off.

    do NOT try this

  • Waxing vs. plucking for facial hair?

I've heard that plucking does the same as waxing but it's more time consuming, but then I heard that plucking makes the hair grow thicker, and then there was the theory that waxing also makes the hair grow thicker. I'm thinking about waxing but it's too expensive, so Plucking might've been a second choice, but I'm still not sure.Waxing vs. plucking for facial hair?
Facial hair is very painful when plucked if i were you i would wax because it not only saves you time it won't hurt as much because waxing takes seconds and plucking may take hours depending on how much hair you got.

    Good luck

xxWaxing vs. plucking for facial hair?
It depends where you're planning to wax or tweeze (pluck). Waxing doesn't make the hair grow back thicker. .actually, it grows back as finer hairs. Yep, tweezing your hair is definitely cheaper (free), but if you pull it out the wrong way, it can result in an ingrown hair.
they have the same effect, plucking is much more time consuming though

Can a guy wax his facial hair?

My friend is considering this. Sometimes he'll pluck facial hairs for fun, and the roots are so thick the holes will bleed a little sometime. With such facial hair, what are the dangers of waxing the area? Can a guy wax his facial hair?
the danger: the face will come off.Can a guy wax his facial hair?
dare him to and film the results for a laugh. ever had a bikini wax? this be well worse
i know a guy that tried it once.

his face was red and sore for 2 weeks.
    uhh yes everybody knows that
Some women have to wax facial hair, but the roots are smaller...tell him to suck it up and keep shaving. We have to.
No danger, let him go for it.
He'd be better off trying dipillitories. There's a stuff made specifically for faces called 'Magic Cream Shave' that's sold in a lot of drug stores and is pretty cheap.
Sounds painful. Men have thicker hair then women...he shouldn't try it.

Cold milk bath..... with a little honey.... no soap, no oils. Damp yourself dry don't wipe.Whats the best way to reduce pain and redness right after u get all of your body/facial hair waxed off?
what i found to work is milk.

put some milk on a Q-tip and put it on the affected area, it will calm the skin and take away the redness.
Best thing to do is to take some Ibuprofen(Motrin) BEFORE you do it/get it done.
    aloe, helps alot.

plus ask if they have a wax for sensitive skin next time.

Brazillian wax and facial while pregnant?

Is it safe for me to have my regular brazillian wax and a facial done at 10 weeks pregnant? I know there is a concern in that it's easier to get an infection down there, but the place I go to is very clean and only uses a strip once to avoid infection. Is this safe for me to have done this weekend?Brazillian wax and facial while pregnant?
It is totally fine as long as your esthetician knows what she is doing and wears gloves. Most places disinfect the area before starting the wax anyhow. If you are confident in her skills, there is no problem at all!

The only thing you may notice is that you are more sensitive. Because of the extra blood and pressure to the genital area during pregnancy, you may find that it stings more than usual. I take a couple of tylenol (totally safe for pregnancy) about 30-40 minutes before my appointments...

You may also need more frequent appointments - pregnancy makes your hair grow faster!Brazillian wax and facial while pregnant?
My ob told me he'd rather I wax than shave due to the infection factor, however he asked me not to do it past 5 months b/c it is a little hard to keep that area clean when you get big and can't necessarily reach it...sorry..tmi...and the actual salon you use will most likely have a policy already in place. Hope that helps!
Yes it is okay for you to pamper yourself!!

We mommas' need the pampering every once in a while!!

    But...

You do know that hair and nails grow a whole lot faster while you are pregnant right?

I would go get my legs waxed because I couldn't bend down.

But I was having to go twice a week!

Killer on my husbands wallet!! LOL!

    So...

I just quit going and went cave woman mode up until the day before my induction.

If you can afford to dish out the money every time you need a waxing, go for it!
You and baby will be fine. It is important to pamper yourself during pregnancy so that you can feel good about the ever changing landscape. Best wishes, G
I wouldn't do it, it's not worth it. Shave down there. It looks fine.
i personally would stay away from that kinda stuff..
perfectly fine. i got waxes throughout my whole pregnancy and my baby girl is perfect!

after waxing have you tried using a soother, that normally soothers the area and gets rid of the wax.My sis is completing a beauty course and thats whatshe uses on me.
Baby oil will take this off very easily and not remove any hair. Actually this is what the professionals use.

Is waxing gud for upper lip facial hair, wont the upper lip be brighter then the rest of the face???

I use wax strips.I cut a strip off, say a cm wide, then just warm between hands, stick on musshy, rip off against direction of hair growth, and voila! Your lip may be red for an hour, but it soon goes down, and its the best way to keep lip hair at bay.
its a really good way of getting rid of unwanted hair and there will only be a little redness for about 20 mins after but no brighter areas

only if the rest of your face is fury
It is perfect, I used to bleach mine but from I have started waxing I would not go back. Also the more you wax the thinner the hair gets.
I wax .. and it's great. i havn't noticed any color change.. and if there is.. cover it with make up or something.. surely that is better than having a mustache

i use Nads facial wand (i recommend it)

the only thing is... when it's been waxed.. careful not too touch it all the time lol.. you know, to feel how smooth it is..

cos it will give you zits

And also careful not to accidently wax a bit of your lip - PAINFUL!

Lol other than that - go for it
Waxing not only gives you red red skin it can also cause ingrown hairs. The best thing that has worked for me is a kind of threading using eze-tweeze. It's much less painful than any other method I have tried and much cheaper and it pulls the hair out from the root just like waxing. All the best
i no a bit about beauty because i work in a hairdressers that does waxing wen ya have ya upper lip waxed it Will only be a bit red for a few hours but Will go down but you can buy a bleaching kit for your upper lip which is less pain full
maybe a little brighter but it doesn't matter.I wax it and i feel good after that because I know that I am smooth and silky on that place:)Some of my friends pluck them(but that is just too much work)and some of them use creams but I don't recommend you to use them because after that the hair is very much darker and it doesn't look very good.I think you should wax them.
only if you've been using fake tan on your face, otherwise it should be fine.
No it won't. Waxing is great and the more you have it done the less the hair grows back!
There isn't a simple answer to removing facial hair.

Facial hair on girls comes about in the same way as on boys because of

    1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

    2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

    * Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also, as you've mentioned, damage the skin and discolor it.

    * Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

    * Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration.

    * Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). But be sure and trim the hair to skin level before using any men's-type electric razor.

get it done before the facial, because sometimes waxing can irritate the skin or make it appear red and swollen.

getting a facial after will calm the area down and make it look nicer :)

Men have more course hair on your face (beard) which wouldn't take very well to waxing and is best to shave. Like the other guy here said though if you want to wax your eyebrows you can do that. But it would be best to have it done professionally the first time. Watch the way your waxer does it so you know how to do it yourself next time. Good LuckIs it ok if men can use waxing cream for facial hair ?
Facial hair is hot on men. Why in the world would you want to wax it off? Women have smooth faces. If I want a smooth face, I'll switch to women. Till then, I love facial hair and 5 o'clock shadows on men, so just let it go and know that there are women out there who go wild when they see your hot facial hair.
u r a man and this is normal. just don't wax

about the acne and oily skin u have to visit a dermatologist. don't try anything ppl tell u.

u look just fine and u'll get used to the shaving part, my GF thinks it sexy when i shave :D
Are you talking about waxing your eyebrows or the hair on your face? Waxing facial hair is what women do. Men shave. Now you can wax your eyebrows. Some guys actually do that.

How do i make homemade wax for facial hair?

i just started getting hair on my jawline would like to know how to make homemade wax to remove it.thanksHow do i make homemade wax for facial hair?
    Here you go!

    2 cups brown sugar

    录 cup water

    录 cup lemon juice

Pour the sugar, water and lemon juice all together in a saucepan, and heat it over a low flame. Keep stirring the mixture to avoid burning. Stir it until all the sugar has melted, and you have a thick brown liquid. Let it cool slightly before using it. It can be stored in a heat proof container for later use.

Store it in fridge. It can be easily warmed up in the microwave.

It a natural home made wax that can be used for waxing for arms, legs, underarms, upper lips and eyebrows.

  • Is there a difference between the wax made for a facial hair removal and the kind used for brazilian wax kits?

is it bad to use wax described for legs, arms on your upperlip or chin? just wondering, i bought surgi wax-brazilian private hair removal and it turned out really green on melting in the microwave and it was awful to pry apart upon drying-i always used sally hansen and surgi wax in the past used real rosebee's wax-honey colored never struggled to remove it! please help!Is there a difference between the wax made for a facial hair removal and the kind used for brazilian wax kits?
The wax that is in brazilian wax kits is ';hard wax.'; The wax in facial kits is considered ';soft wax.'; the ';hard wax'; attatches to the coarse hair better which makes it pull more out at a time w/o having to go over the same spot twice, making it less painful to use when pull off. I don't think it will hurt at all the use on your face.. I ran out of my regualr wax and used it on my eyebrows.. worked just fine!!

I use surgi-wax brazillian as well, and the trick is to pull it off when its still slightly warm and pliable. If you let it dry too much, it hurts like a bi*otch!! It took me a while to get used to it, but now Ima pro (haha) and it doesn't hurt nearly as bad!! I hurts 100% worse when I used the soft wax in the regular wax kits with the strips!! OUCH!! Don;t recommend that AT ALL lol!!Is there a difference between the wax made for a facial hair removal and the kind used for brazilian wax kits?
Yes. The difference is that the hairs are of different coarseness, and the waxes made for your body are not as gentle as facial waxes. They put more money and care into facial waxes, because you cannot hide them with clothing. I would not recommend using any body waxes on ur face, it could cause redness and irritation. Especially since the skin on your face is generally more sensitive than the skin elsewhere, where clothing often rubs.
I';m sure there is a difference.

maybe you should ask a doctor( dermatologist)

    or a pharmacist!

What is the best microwavable wax to get rid of facial hair?

it's not recommended to use microwavable wax due to uneven heat...professional is best. What is the best microwavable wax to get rid of facial hair?
I use Nair, but the heat isn't evenly distributed so you stop the microwave half way, stir and start again, and when the wax comes out stir again to make sure...It comes with the strips and everything. Does a very good job, better than when I get it done professionally. However professionally is cheaper and much less time consuming. What is the best microwavable wax to get rid of facial hair?
You don鈥檛 need a microwave! I鈥檝e been using this system for close to 10 years: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>

I will warn you, it鈥檚 very easy to over-wax and if you do that too many times, you can wind up browless. I don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 painful at all.
I would go to a Sally's Beauty Supply and ask there..I have one but can't remember what is called..but it works wonders..
Get it done professionally...less pain and works well

Will waxing or using facial cream make peach fuzz hair thicker and have more hair?

My mom keeps telling me to leave it alone and that it will go away by itself, but I have been looking and it has not been going away instead there is more D: I'm 16 and the peach fuzz bothers me a lot. %26gt;.%26lt; What should I do in order to get rid of the hair and make sure that it doesn't come back. Also is my mom right? Will waxing or using facial cream make peach fuzz hair thicker and have more hair?
It certainly won't go away on its own. Removing hair won't make it grow back thicker, but it may seem that way if you use nair or shave because you cut a blunt edge on the hair so it's thicker than if it naturally grows and tapers to a point. Also, hair that has never been cut (especially light body hair) is typically somewhat sun lightened, so it may or may not appear darker (it's not like you've had the same hair on your lips, lashes, or brows forever; they fall out and regrow on their own all the time). There are rumors that tweezing and waxing hair makes it grow back thinner or stop growing back, but you will be disappointed if you expect that to be permanent or a very noticeable difference.

You just need to decide whether or not you care to make facial hair removal a regular part of your beauty regimen. On a lot of women, it is barely necessary or only needs to be done infrequently.

Edit: okay, I assumed you were female because a guy wouldn't expect facial hair to go away on its own...Will waxing or using facial cream make peach fuzz hair thicker and have more hair?
I only know that male facial hair grows faster when it is shaved because I am a dude.I really don't know about female facial hair.If you do wax it and it does grow back thicker, just keep shaving it every time it grows in and it is noticeable.
Using facial cream (depilatory) will not make it thicker. It is effective but it will come back though. I have never tried facial waxing as I am afraid of little red bumps. Do not shave.

The only permanent treatments are things like electrolysis or laser but they are very expensive. And even so, there may be some re-growth.
there is not real answer to this question.

if you keep cutting it, the hair will grow back quicker.

but, obviously, if you leave it alone, it will still be there.

having facial hair is normal for guys(assuming), so you just have to deal
cuttin makes it thicker dude jst shave it

Waxing men's facial and neck hair?

is it possible? i'm looking for info on it and so many people say you can't do it. but i'm looking at videos on youtube and I'm seeing guys at spas and such getting it done. and even if it doesn't remove ALL of the hair, the fact that it would remove even half of it would be great because that would make shaving easier for atleast a few days and just that is good enough reason for me to do it. so if anyone has any info or experience on it, please let me know. i just called a really nice spa around here and they said that they would do it.

i dont care about pain, thats not an issue at all. just want to know if it would be successful.Waxing men's facial and neck hair?
I've done it for my husband cause he gets really bad razor bumps. I do my own waxing so I know how to and I asked if he's let me, so we tried it. This was our experience, but could be different for you, it was really painful for him. He walked around with his chin out for the rest of the day cause it was really tender. And the worst of it, he got a TON of ingrown hairs when it grew back. But, his facial hair is a lot curlier than most I've seen so this could be the reason. It's like a tight little corkscrews. Anyways, it wasn't worth it to him. On the upside, his face was very soft for a couple of days. If you do decide to do it, try getting this stuff called Tend Skin. You apply it with a cotton swab and it cuts down on the ingrown hairs after waxing. Don't apply it for about 48 hours after cause it will sting really bad. But it'll work well.Waxing men's facial and neck hair?
Yes, you can do waxing. You can even try the at home wax strips that you can just rub between your hands to warm it up. Then you apply it and rip off in the direction opposite of the hair growth. Sally Hansen has some at home waxing products that aren't too bad.

How do you get facial hot wax off of a carpet?

i was waxing and the wax was still hot when it spilled on my carpet and got all over the place when i tried to clean it up it was a hugh mess....please i need help....How do you get facial hot wax off of a carpet?
For spilled wax on carpets and upholstery, put a brown paper bag over the dried wax and run a hot iron over it. The bag will absorb the hot wax. Clumped dried wax on wood floors can be removed by chipping off most of the wax and using a hair dryer to soften and use brown lunch bag. Agitate area with carpet cleaning solution such as (folex or resolve)or just plain vinegar and water.

    Hope this helps ~~~

Good Luck !How do you get facial hot wax off of a carpet?
    get a new carpet
Try placing a paper towel or paper bag on top and then gently press with a iron using steam setting. The wax should melt and absorb into the paper towel. Repeat as necessary until all wax is lifted. I would not use chemical cleaners with this process as harmful gases could arise or even a fire if product is flammable.

its bad for your skin. waxing takes off a layer of your skin (mostly dead) and then adding the lotion on top of fresh skin you might cause irritation. best thing to do is soak a rag in hot water and press it against the area you plan to wax for 5-10 min, pat dry and wax the area. after pluck any remaining hairs and rub just a dot of baby oil on the fresh area. if you still have hairs you need to get rid of wait 2 days before using a cream. over time you might develop a reaction to both at the same time so space them a few days apart to give your skin a chance to recuperate.

Waxing Hair Removal - Tips For Best Results

To avoid the skin appearing darker after waxing, be careful

not to expose the treated area to the sun for 48 hours after

    treatment.

Alternatively use a good sun blocker cream on newly treated

    areas.

Be sure to test a small area of skin first to make sure

there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to the

    process.

Hair should be at least 1/8 inch long. If it isn't wait

    until it reaches this length.

Be sure to wash the skin thoroughly and dry it well

beforehand to remove any lotions or oils which may prevent

the wax from adhering closely to the skin.

Heat the wax carefully so as not to overheat and thus burn

the skin when applying. Test on a small area first.

The consistency should be soft rather than runny.

If pain and discomfort is a main concern use a pain reducing

gel or cream available from pharmacists. These solutions

should be applied 30 to 60 minutes before waxing so the skin

    is numbed beforehand.

Apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of the hair

growth, preferably holding the spatula or tongue depresser

at a 45 degree angle as you spread the wax.

When applying the cotton strip over the wax, rub in the same

direction as the hair growth leaving about 1/3 of the strip

free to allow for a firm grip for a fast back pulling

    action.

Pull the skin taut before pulling the cotton strip away.

Pull back with a rapid movement close to the skin. Do not

pull up or out, rather pull back. One fast, smooth, pull

back is much more effective than a series of light pulls

which only increase the pain and leave patchy areas.

Clean the skin with a warm moist towel afterwards to remove

    excess wax.

Avoid showering and making the hair wet prior to hair

waxing. Hair absorbs the water making it soft and less

likely to adhere well to the wax. Tough hair is easier to

    pull off.

Avoid wearing tight clothing over freshly waxed areas to

minimize the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs.

After 24-48 hours exfoliate the skin (with a Loofa sponge

for example) to prevent the dead skin from accumulating in

areas that can become ingrown such as the bikini line, upper

    thighs, underarms and calves.

If acne is a problem, wait until the skin has healed before

hair waxing to avoid further irritating this sensitive

    condition.

    ***Extra Tips For Facial Hair***

For facial hair use wax at a lower temperature than the rest

    of the body.

Use one hand to hold the skin taught.

    Spread the wax very thinly.

Only treat small areas at a time.

Recommendation: To make waxing hair removal much easier and

less frequent, always apply a hair inhibitor after each

    waxing session.

Can I use a facial wax kit on my pubic hairs?

No, I wouldn't recommend it. I'd go find a waxing kit that is purposely for the bikini zone and brazilian type of wax. You don't just want to slab some random kind of wax on yourself and end up with something bad. And it hurts like a ***** to do it yourself.

How can we remove facial and body hair?if waxing, which's the best company?

hi. I think waxing or sugaring work equally well. I like sugaring a little better..doesn't seem as painful. Most beauty salons have someone who waxes(or sugars), at least for the lip area and eyebrows. You could also ask about bikini wax and legs, etc if you want that. I've had it done in several different salons. It always turned out well. The person doing the waxing or sugaring has to be certified, which means they went to school for it and passed the licensesing test. Since that got to be expensive after a while, I started doing it mysef. I use the products by Parissa , and they are so easy to use! They work really well, too.

I buy Parissa body sugar for bikini and the strips for the upper lip. I get them at Drugstore.com.You can also get them at Whole Foods

Waxing facial hair can not be so great over a period of time, it can age your skin faster. There are many creams on the market that remove hair, I'm not sure on a brand but they all have the same ingredient to remove hair so it's just your personal choice.

Body hair same thing, or waxing, I would recommend getting it done, most nail salons do this. How can we remove facial and body hair?if waxing, which's the best company?
    You can do many things:

waxing is one thing...you can do it at home because the hair is so fine...but I reccommend a salon, but IDK the ones in your area

nair for faces or another facial hair remover work good, but they can come back quickly, but never thicker

dont shave...it will come back quick and thick...ewww

you can also bleach it so that it isnt visible if you have darkish hair

or you can find a good place and laser it and it will never come back (but that way is a little expensive)

Can male facial hair be removed with wax?

I don't have a lot of facial hair but it is thick where it comes in. I want to get rid of it so I don't get five oclock shadows. Can it be waxed? How much does waxing cost? Can male facial hair be removed with wax?
Male facial hair is much coarser than on other parts of the body and much much coarser then on females' faces. Also the roots are stronger. It would be very painful for a man to have his face waxed. I write as someone who gets regular waxes elsewhere on my body and I don't find it that painful except at the instant the hair is being pulled out and even then it's quite bearable.

In short, I would say DON'T - just keep shaving! Can male facial hair be removed with wax?
yes, it's no different than a girl's hair!!!

    Hi there!

I'm sorry, but I don't think there is such a thing as facial wax in German supermarkets. At least, I've never seen any in any store I went to.

I would try a ';Kosmetikerin';. She won't just sell it to you, she will want to do the whole package, but after a couple of appointments with her, she might be persuaded to sell you some. YOu will find a ';Kosmetikerin'; in the phone book/yellow pages.

    Good Luck!
If you don't find it at Schlecker under ';Gesichtswachs'; then ask either in the Apotheke or at a Parfuemerie ';Douglas';.

Have you tried to order it online?

Try a pharmacy (';Apotheke';). As facial wax (';Gesichtswachs';) is considered a medical product, it's only available there. (Just like Aspirin; you don't get it at supermarkets.)

i waxed during my period,.. does that mean anything??

i need helpFacial hair help! did waxing create this?
You're probably just studying your face more meticulously now and noticing more hair. Waxing during your period doesn't mean anything except if you are prone to cold sores, the heat can make them flare.

Just continue to wax when you need to, but get it done, don't do it yourself! You cannot get all the hairs as well as the professionals and you will tend to burn or damage your skin if you do it yourself.

Good luck!Facial hair help! did waxing create this?
Everyone has facial hair. It sucks but keep waxing that's all you can do.
Waxing usually makes the hair grow back more fine than before. Did you ever shave it? Shaving it makes it grow back stronger. (Don't ever shave your face!)

Keep up with the waxing. It doesn't matter if you wax while you're on your period, except that it may hurt more since you're more sensitive.

Also, buy a product that you put on after waxing that slows hair re-growth. Epil-stop is one they have at Wal-Mart.

If you keep growing dark hair, it gets worse, or you notice other suspicious changes, see your family doctor to make sure you don't have a hormonal imbalance.

Trust me, I know waxing sucks. But the pain is worth it!

    Waxing or Bleaching (facial Hair)?

Which is better? waxing or bleaching?

Cuz im afraid that waxing will cause hair to grow back faster and thicker, but bleaching will cause the hair to just turn yellowish- so it will be noticeable in the sunlight

I have tan skin- im brown (in case that helps)Waxing or Bleaching (facial Hair)?
Well, I've noticed that waxing causes the hair to come back thicker, but it's supposedly supposed to slowly kill the roots of your hair over time.

With bleaching, it does show in the sunlight.. and if the hair bleaches to a colour that's too light for your skin tone, it could be noticeable.

However, in my opinion, I think you should get it waxed or threaded..

just so that it's not there, and then when it grows back, just do it again?

    (:Waxing or Bleaching (facial Hair)?
    waxing
Go with nair it isn't as painful as waxing it will grow back but not faster or thicker i have doing it for over two years now and i do it once a month and it doesn't hurt they have nair for what ever place you need to and it wont make it red or make bumps so its a lot better!
Waxing doesn't make your hair thicker, in fact it does the opposite, the more you do it the more it damages the root the slower and thinner the hair will grow back (this may take some time however, possibly years). Waxing is also a little on the painful side but with bleaching or nair I'd be afraid of giving myself a chemical burn (actually nair has given me several chemical burns and not because I used the product wrong, my skin just can't handle it).

I would say go with waxing but really it's up to you and what your comfortable with.
If you do have a darker complection I would go for waxing. It is true, for some people that the hair does grow back thicker but not for all! You might consider shaving it if it's a mustache. It's much less painful and can be done right when you take a shower, keeping you on your toes if it were to grow back thicker for you personally.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!
bleaching definietly because if you wax especially on your face, it will grow back thicker and even more dense. it grows back quicker too. if you bleach, it will take longer for you to start noticing it again and it's easier and quicker than waxing. it takes like 8-10 minutes at most and it blends in with your skin. no it will not be more noticeable in the sunlight because it blends in with your skin tone making it virtually impossible to see. redo it like ever 2-4 weeks. and the best bleaching product is Sally Hansen get it from grocery stores. remember to read the directions and PATCH TEST FIRST TO SEE IF YOU AHVE ALLERGIES. it's relatively easy to use and waxing will just make it worse. trust me! hope this helped!!

Nair wax is brilliant. It is microwaveable so there is no mess. It even comes with a special dipper to check the temperature before use. It only takes about 1 min to heat up. I bought a big tub about a year ago and there is still loads left and it is not expensive. Really does the job!!

so which method is better for facial hair, tweezing or waxing %26amp; why?Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?
Wax, tweezing leaves marks and irritation.Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?
tweeze, because it will not come back
Waxing. It minimizes the hair growth over time and there is less risk of ingrown hairs and holes from plucking hair.

Admittedly, I pluck my stray eyebrow hairs, but there aren't many of them. And other facial hair should be waxed.
Tweezing for eye brows - it's more precise.

Waxing for upper lip, etc. Parissa makes pre-cut wax strips that are very convenient %26amp; come w/ good, clear instructions.
Tweezing is much more accurate. Unless you dont care if you rip off half of your eyebrow..or leave patches of hair and no hair on your face or upper lip..wax..ive seen people thet used to wax and now they have a beard growning in place where they used to wax..it takes way too much off!
i think girls usually wax because it takes a little bit longer for it to grow back compared to tweezing...but in my opinion, i think its better if a girl tweezes because...when you wax, it looks like a bald spot on your face, so you can see like a lighter portion on your face LOL...and it looks funny. if you tweeze it, you just pick out the long hairs so it looks normal. both will hurt, i just say tweeze it
Eyebrows: Go to a salon for the 1st time so they can professionaly shape your brows. You can do upkeep with tweezers at home and just get them waxed once a month or so. Waxing is cheap, $5-$10.

Lip: I suggest using Sally Hansen's cream. It is painless and leaves your lip smooth. You don't have to do it very often because it grows back slowly and you will not have stubble. you can get the cream in any drugstore and it is inexpensive. Buy a small tube or it will go bad before you use it all, as it does not take much and you don't have to do it often.
definitely waxing is better, quicker, cleaner, and you only have to deal with a quick pain instead of sitting there and trying to pluck.
    tweeze, less painful
    Dubyah
Both are painful. Tweezing takes longer. Waxing doesn't, but I'd say it is more painful.
I used to tweeze my facial hair, but up until yesterday I waxed it. My skin was so used to the tweezing, that it didn't hurt anymore than tweezing. I find that wax provides a cleaner look. They both last a really long time, but it is much easier and quicker to wax. I recommend Sally Hansen's microwaveable facial wax. You can peel the wax right off!!! I loved it!!
    wax
I wax my eyebrows. More painful, but it's not one by one and it's over quickly. And it last longer than tweezing. I think so anyway.
Waxing last longer but if you have dark skin or use some acne meds it can cause discoloration of the skin so you should use tweezers.
Wax. It takes WAY less time and it also lasts muchlonger. With tweezing you will have stubble, but waxing should stay for at 4-6 weeks! =)
tweeze becasue it is a million times less painful than waxing.
waxing is faster but it will make you red and you never know if youll have a reaction to the wax (my sister did) and your skin may get all bumpy and gross

tweezing takes longer, may hurt more but you can pinpoint pieces of hair easier..its up to you

What are the best types of at home facial (lip, chin) waxing strips?

I have some hair one my chin and have tired veet at home creams and find they burn my face. was wondering if any WOMEN had any tips on not just the best at home waxing strip facial kits but which ones were the best. I know I could go to a salon but I find it embrassing and would rather do this at home. Also I have tired threading and it was something I would not try again. so Please any tips and advise would be great. PS: ive already looked into both laser hair removal and electrolisys this is not something i want to do right now. I am strictly looking into waxing! What are the best types of at home facial (lip, chin) waxing strips?
Pre-waxed strips from Sally Hensen are great, they work great on fine or short hair.

Personally, I like making my own wax with sugar and using 100% cotton strips. It saves money that way.

If you're not good at doing it yourself, go to a salon to get it done.

Nair facial hair remover or waxing?

    which is better?

    for facial hair and mustache?

and will it grow back quickly?i hope not...=[Nair facial hair remover or waxing?
Neither. Nair burns the skin chemically, and if you skin is sensitive, the wax can burn you too. I suggest you go for threading, or get an epilator. None of them are comfortable, but its better than being hairy.Nair facial hair remover or waxing?
Waxing is if you want to know between two.

With Nair yes, you may have to check for allergy test on your skin.

Get your face waxed because Nair causes irritation, redness and allergic reactions to most skin especially sensitive skin on the face.

The hair will not grow back any faster then normal hair.

Nair doesnt remove too well on upper lip. Grows back quickly too. Even though waxing hurts more, it grows slower

Don't do it regularly. Try doing it once in 1week or 2weeks. That way, the growth of your hair will decrease. As well, make your face shinier.

The best. I use both of these. They work well for me. The moisturizer sinks right in and the concealer is industrial strength.

How long do facial burns (from waxing) especially on the upper lip last? And does it disappear eventually?

I used Veet waxing kit. It's my first time to wax and I think I used it the wrong way because it left a red, irritated mark on my upper lip. It crusted the next day. I used lotion on it but it really hurt. I washed my face using a facial soap and the crust turned soft and started to peel. I picked at it because it was embarrassing and now it left a red, almost brown, mark. It's been three days now. I'm so scared that it might scar and I'm so embarrassed to go to school so I put a concealer hoping to hide it. HELP ME! I don't know what to do and none of what I've read here so far has really helped. How long do facial burns (from waxing) especially on the upper lip last? And does it disappear eventually?
You made a big mistake by removing the scab before it was ready,

leave it alone now ,keep moisturising the area and use concealer on it.

The mark will fade but may take up to a month to go and if you are a lady of colour it may not go completely.

I am sorry to be so blunt but I am being honest here.

You burned your face by using wax that was far too hot,I would advise anyone using wax to test it on the inside of their wrist before putting it anywhere near the area to be waxed, especially your face.

If you do burn yourself by accident the best thing to put on is aloe vera gel for the first few days.

I would strongly advise anyone who wants to wax to go to a professional at least for the first time.

    Hope this helps.

Should I use facial wax on those little hairs on forhead & around brows?

You can. It would save you money if you were going to go somewhere and get it done. If you go to Target or Walmart, they have all kinds of wax type products that can help you so that you don't mess up. They even have some you warm by rubbing your palms together then placing it over the hairs you want removed. Try that. It's not so bad and not as painful because you know when to expect the tugs.Should I use facial wax on those little hairs on forhead %26amp; around brows?
I get little bumps whenever I wax there. I use an electric trimmer and it works great!

If you continue to pluck or wax male facial hair will it stop growing?

No. Not unless you severely damage the follicles.

For the purposes of hair removal, the hairfacts definition of ';permanent'; is being able to go a year after your final hair removal treatment without having to use another method of hair removal. Keep in mind that a year might not be long enough to determine true permanence, but most consumers would be happy to have one treatment a year.

The only method of clinically proven permanent hair removal is electrolysis. Some lasers and flash lamps have been able to achieve permanent hair reduction, as discussed below.

    Long-term hair removal

Another undefined term is ';long-term'; hair removal. Again, it depends on what your definition of ';long'; is. The hairfacts definition of ';long-term'; is being able to go 6 months after your final treatment without having to use another method of hair removal. Your definition may vary, but I don't consider 9 weeks to be long-term. I arbitrarily decided on 6 months as a working definition, because most hair growth cycles will have completed in 6 months. If you continue to pluck or wax male facial hair will it stop growing?
YesIf you continue to pluck or wax male facial hair will it stop growing?
Lol, no it won't stop growing. Believe me I know men who do it and the hair always grows back. It's just like when us girls wax or pluck our facial hair it always grows back just not as fast.
    no

Should i wax my facial mustache or just leave it?

this had been bothering me for a while, i've been thinking of removing it, but i'm afraid it grow fast, or come back longer or thicker. what should i do?Should i wax my facial mustache or just leave it?
I'd say go ahead and wax, mine didn't come in worse. Just keep up with waxing, I do my eyebrows too. Don't bother with bleaching, than instead of a big black mustache, you have a platinum blond one.Should i wax my facial mustache or just leave it?
    depends how dark it is.

i have pale skin and dark hair, so my upperlip is quite obvious.

i get mine waxed or use hair removal cream, and it seems okay.

if its making you self conscious and its very obvious go for it, but if your uner 13, dont be messing about with your body yet. unless its like

REALLLY BADD AND YOU GET PICKED ON

    hahah xxxx
if it bothers you then waxing is your best bet! Mine is blonde hair so I don't wax it yet and I'm 20, but it doesn't bother me. My mom has waxed her lip for about 24 years and hers never grows back in more coarse or dark, but you have to keep up on it if you're going to do it. I say go for it, it'll make you fell better!
if you are afraid of waxing it

    try bleaching it

    it makes it less noticeable

it will be one less thing distracting you from a decision
    wax
Waxing won't make it come back longer or thicker. But waxing might irritate your skin.
    wax it.
I get my face waxed professionally and it lasts for about 2-3 weeks. I do it because I feel confident about myself later.

Threading is better for eyebrows but if you want the upper-lip or any other facial hair done waxing is much better. I would recommend laser though. It gets everything done and out of the way forever and your parents might help out with the costs!
I like waxing better. It is a personal choice though. Threading hurts when waxing is one quick pull. This lady told me one time ';well if you continue waxing like in the next year or so your skin will dry out and crack. NOT true

I have been waxing for 10 years and I have not had a problem.
%26gt;%26gt; i would definately go with waxing. i think it hurts less and the finish product looks amazing and really good. the only downside to it is that it grows back in about a week or two. but, i would get waxed, its really great and it comes out really pretty in the end.
I've never had threading done, waxing only leaves redness, which fades within a few hours.
Threading is much better and less painfull i find! :)
i shave my facial hair off with a razor and shaving cream but im a man... if your a girl i would suggest lazer hair removal
Try shaving, if you don't like that then wax.

How Badly Does it Hurt to Get Your Facial Hair Waxed?

And plz don't talk about bleaching/ threading :)How Badly Does it Hurt to Get Your Facial Hair Waxed?
I have mine done regular - about every three weeks by a solon. It doesn't really hurt if you get a professional to do it. They put baby powder on your face first to be able to see all the fine hair then the warmed wax, cover it with a thin strip of cloth. They take it off fast and apply moist cloth. It really don't hurt unless you have sensitive skin. You may have a few pink or red marks when they are finished but they go away in a matter of 30 minutes or so. Trust me it's better then having a fuzzy face. I pay $25.00 and have my whole face done, eye brows all all, even my neck. That baby fine hair just drives me nuts and looks bad in the sun. Try it you will be happier with yourself. I'm happy! How Badly Does it Hurt to Get Your Facial Hair Waxed?
i don't know about this. but i feel it may hurt u. if ur are going to try, then good luck.
bad bad bad just pluck it instead
idk.but it sounds like it would hurt.
Any time you pull the hair out, there is some pain. if the person doing it is good you wont feel that much.
I have waxed peoples facial hair. Some whence in pain, others dont make a peep. I have even seen someone cry. It all depends on the person. I would say if you have never had nething on your face waxed its going to hurt a bit. After a lil bit you will get used to it. The pain doesnt last long at all. Its kinda like when you go and get a shot at the doctor. It hurts for a sec and goes away.
BAD you only bleed for 5 min. hehe just kidding not too bad but it will be red.
waxing can be a little bit painful depending on the persons pain tolerance level

Is any truth to this or is he over reacting and is it perfectly harmless?Im a guy is waxing your facial hair bad?
REAL MEN SHAVE...Im a guy is waxing your facial hair bad?
No, it's not bad for you. However, REPEATED waxing can cause the hair to become weaker (easier to pull out), finer, lighter in colour, slower to regrow and for some hairs not to grow back at all. THESE EFFECTS WILL NOT HAPPEN AFTER ONE WAXING and they vary from person to person.

waxing on your face will make your skin red and kind of itchy for at least a day... i wouldn't recommend it because the skin on your face is extra sensitive, especially if you have problems with breaking out from time to time
    omg. alotta guys wax.

  • Why wont facial wax pull of chin hairs?

Ever since I have had to take hormone treatments I have noticed excess facial hair so I have been using at home facial wax the professional kind like used in beauty salons however when I try to wax my chin the hairs never come off.Does anyone know why this is? It works great anywhere elseWhy wont facial wax pull of chin hairs?
They are not long enough and may be growing in different directions. Also the hair is thicker than your average hair, or should I say more coarse. They are a little tougher to pull out.

I have the same problems and resorted to tweezers. It's a pain but it works. I'm to the point I'm considering getting permanent hair removal on my face just so I don't have to deal with it any longer. Why wont facial wax pull of chin hairs?
The hairs on your chin are generally thicker and stronger than other parts of your face. I've had my face (eyebrows, lip, chin) waxed many times, and I've had to have some of the chin hairs removed with tweezers. Think of a man's beard - very thick hairs.

LADIES: Question about waxing and facial hair removal?

I'm thinking about trying Sally Hansen waxing strips to remove my unwanted facial hair (keep in mind i am FEMALE).

It is really embarrassing and kind of noticeable...I really don't want to have to go in to a salon.

    My only concerns are:

    - will the hair grow back thicker and darker, and look worse?

    - how often will I have to wax, and will I have to wax less often with continued use?LADIES: Question about waxing and facial hair removal?
I would just go to a salon. Nearly all women do. When you do it yourself you hesitate and then you'll have to redo it. And you may burn your skin and that'll be painful.LADIES: Question about waxing and facial hair removal?
Hey girl, I understand exactly what you are going through. And please let me tell you this. I am 18 years old and i was researching on same thing as you did. I have some fuzz on my upper lip that I want to get rid of permanently for quite a while now. But I've decided not wax it. My concern with waxing that i am not going to be able to keep up with appointments. And it will grow worse probably not darker but longer. I've been plucking very little like the really noticeable hair but mostly I was looking into laser hair removal. It's kinda pricey but i am waiting for the moment when i am going to be able to afford it. For some it's permanent for some it last for at least two years. But hey it's a lot better then every two weeks going to wax. Here the link that will give you an idea how laser works or when it is safe to do a laser treatment. Don't necessarily look for a cheap, you'd be better be off paying a bit more for better results. Good luck girl!
I've heard that waxing doesn't make hair grow back thicker and darker.
waxing make hair thinner not thicker

they make these strips with wax on them already.

all you have to do is rub them together and they heat up.

if you do not have much growth then go for bleach .. coz once you start waxing you would have to go it every time there is some growth

But threading takes a lot longer than waxing.

I would recommend waxing because it is quicker and will probably hurt less because you hair is removed in a matter of seconds.

    Remove Unsightly Facial Hair

    Rate: (41 Ratings)

Not only men have more facial hair than they want, some women do too. There are a few methods of getting rid of unwanted hair, the razor is not your only choice. If you aspire to have a silky-smooth, hairless face, try some of the methods below.

Post a CommentAdd to FavoritesEmailPrint Article

    Save/Share: Flag Article

    InstructionsDifficulty: Moderate

    Things You鈥檒l Need:

    Oil-free Moisturizers

    Electric Razors

    Eyebrow Tweezers

    Towels

    Epilatory Facial Wax

    Women's Razors

    Step

    1

Shave it, but remember that this is a temporary method of facial hair removal that is not recommended for women. Regrowth tends to occur rapidly.

    Step

    2

Tweeze it. Tweezing is a good, although somewhat painful way to remove small areas of unwanted facial hair. Because the hair is plucked out at the root, it takes longer for regrowth to appear.

    Step

    3

Use depilatory creams, gels and lotions, which contain a chemical that alters the structure of the hair for easy removal. This chemical can be irritating to skin, so use only a product especially formulated for the face. Always do a skin test on a small area of the face before using the product, and follow directions exactly to avoid irritation or chemical burns.

    Step

    4

Consider waxing every 4 to 6 weeks, in which you apply hot or cold wax to the area of unwanted hair. The hair becomes affixed to the wax and the wax is then pulled off the skin, taking the hair with it. Test a small area of your skin for an allergic reaction before using, and do not use wax on sunburned or irritated skin.

    Step

    5

Think about electrolysis, a permanent hair removal method in which an electrical current is used to destroy the hair root. Several treatments may be required over a period of time, as each hair follicle must be destroyed individually.

    Step

    6

    Laser it. Hair removal by laser must be done by a licensed professional. It can be expensive and time-consuming, and it may not be permanent. It is best to discuss your situation with a professional. You can find one by looking in the yellow pages under ';Hair Removing.';

You may wish to discuss hair removal options with your physician before proceeding.

Consider using a lotion containing alpha-hydroxy acid after any of the above treatments. It exfoliates the skin, which helps to prevent ingrown hairs.

If all else fails, bleaching the hair is a safe and easy option.

Nearly all methods of hair removal cause some kind of discomfort or skin irritation. Be sure to consider these before choosing one method over another.

I have seen many of my clients with burns (chemical burns) on their face from Nair, it can take skin off your face on some people but I would recommend staying away from Nair at all costs as it is risky and can leave u with a nasty burn, which is a lot worse than hair. Waxing is the best way to go, but you have to make sure you find a good beautician that listens when you talk to her- you ask her to make sure the wax isn't too hot,if she tests the wax on the back on her hand(like any liscensed professional is supposed to do) and it doesn't burn it is a good temp. for you get the waxing service done. Note: when the wax is too hot people get red waxing after and also causes more pain). Also if she applies a little pressure on the area with two fingers after the service it will help with the ouchiness factor. Also a cold compress (such as cold cloth or cold milk) will get red of any pink left after waxing-IF THERE IS EVER ANY RED AFTER WAXING NEVER GET YOUR WAXING DONE THERE AGAIN, AND GET COLD MILK ON THE SKIN A.S.A.P.How can i remove facial hair w/out waxing or shaving my beautiful face!?

I've tried Nair before and it worked. I don't know if it still in the drug stores or supermarkets. It's in a tube.

    Good Luck!
I don't know how dense your facial hair is, but no matter what, do NOT shave your face, it will cause the problem more worst.
Threading. I does not hurt as much as the other hair removal options. There are no chemicals and it's quick because it removes several hairs at once.
    Laser treatments
Have you tried Nair? You can remove the hair without any of the above, and with no pain.
Electrolysis works pretty well... can be pricey but not as bad as lasers.
If you can handle the pain, tweezing could work... but that usually involves a few good shots of gray goose before my nerves are numb enough for that. XD
Good ole Duct Tape, will remove that hair......have some WD 40,.. to keep your skin smooth

Is waxing my facial hair a bad idea?

I'm a 17 year old guy and I've been shaving for almost 2 years. It sucks man. I shave about 1 or two times a week. My face starts getting stubble a day after I shave. Facial hair just doesn't look right on me. I've been told I have a baby face, but I have stubble as well. That just doesn't work. I shaving too.

If I don't shave for a week I think the hair will be long enough to wax. I just want to know if it's safe. I also have acne and my skin is oily, but I guess that comes with age. I really want to wax. what kind of wax should I use and such? Thanks. ;]Is waxing my facial hair a bad idea?
I suppose you could try waxing but just keep in mind that your hair will still grow back pretty fast. Also, seeing that you are a man, your hair probably grows in pretty thick and this may be very painful to wax...Do you plan on waxing it yourself or seeing a professional? This could get pretty expensive! Also, years of waxing can destroy your hair follicles eventually, keep this in mind as you are pretty young and may want fuller facial hair one day. There is a reason why most men stick to shaving! If you don't like the feeling of stubble you could always try switching razors to get a closer shave, my dad uses an electric one and that seems to work pretty well. Good luck to you.Is waxing my facial hair a bad idea?
I wouldn't recommend it. Male facial hair is much thicker than other body hair, the hair grows more densely and the roots are stronger, so waxing is going to be very painful. Also if you have acne, waxing could be more painful still.

I suggest using an electric shaver until your skin calms down in a couple of yeas or so. I'm old- fashioned and I learnt from my own father, so I wet-shave but a lot of men go through their entire lives using a electric shaver and getting a very close shave. It's supposed to be quicker and more convenient.
the skin on your face is very delicate. if you don't know what you're doing, and which products are superior-you are going to make a very BIG mess of yourself. i once tried waxing my own upper lip and ended up with sores on it from ripping the top layer of my skin off. go to a professional. it isn't really too much more costly than buying the products and supplies to do it yourself-then opting to never use any of it again.
Yes. The skin on your face is very sensitive and as you're a man it must be thick too.

However, see a beautician and have a conversation with them. Make sure you're SURE about doing it before the wax though!
naw man that is gonna kill

just go out and buy an electric shaver

u dont need to use shaving cream and there are no blades directly on your face so it doesnt irritate your skin

also it takes about 1 min for your whole face
Its safe if its bothering you that much then you should wax it

How To Make Homemade Facial Wax?

    something that really works

hot wax or cold is cool

and what could i use to take it off (if i use hot wax)? How To Make Homemade Facial Wax?
    Homemade Sugaring Wax

    2 cups sugar

1/4 cup lemon or lime juice

    1/4 cup water

    Candy Thermometer

Combine ingredients and cook for about 10 minutes. The mixture will boil rapidly and you should stir constantly to avoid boiling over. Then you simmer it for 5 more minutes to allow the mixture to thicken. (Make sure the mix reaches 250 degrees). The mixture changes from clear to a deep amber color (similar to the hardball candy phase). You remove the mix and allow it to cool, then you can use the sugaring mix to remove the hair , or store in a reheat able container. Like waxing you should heat up the mix slightly before use. You may use paper or cloth strips.

    Facial hair remover

    1 egg white

    sugar

    corn flour

Blend 1 egg white and equal parts of sugar and corn flour until they become a sticky paste. Apply to face, when it dries peel off. Use 3-4 times a week.

    Hair removal Mix

    4 teaspoons wheat flour

    1 teaspoon mint leaves

    1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

    1 teaspoon water

Mix ingredients in bowl. Cover. Process and obtain a paste of the ingredients. Test first on skin. Apply. Leave on 15 minutes, Use daily. **This can be use for body hair also, it is supposed to rid you of any body of facial hair** Good Luck!!

I get them waxed every three weeks.

At home wax for facial hair. What do you recommend?

I have PCOS, so I struggle with facial hair, and believe me, its horrible.

I can't afford the laser hair removal or electrolysis, and creams really hurt my skin so I want to try a wax product that I can do at home.

What do you think is the best, and why?At home wax for facial hair. What do you recommend?
Ugh the evil facial hair. Yeah, I want LHR too, but its way to costly and I'd need multiple treatments.

I use sally hansen, I do have to let it grow out 2 weeks though. (It really depends on your own growth time.) They also have one by nair now (WAX, not cream) I heard it works well.

I have never had a problem with Sally hansen's.At home wax for facial hair. What do you recommend?
I would personally recommend someone who has been trained in waxing such as an esthetician! They know how to pull the wax correctly to avoid hyerpigmentation or other pulling or tearing of the skin. At any aesthetic schools they charge 10 bucks to get the face waxed and it is worth it, they have bright lights they put your face under to get every last hair.. it is worth it!! Good luck
you are better off going to a professional waxer. that sort of at home wax can get really ugly quick. Facial waxes are usually less than $15 and way smarter than risking burning yourself with at home wax.
