Is waxing facial hair expensive?

I wind up with ingrown hairs on my neck sometimes when I shave, and am told that waxing won't give me this problem, and that I will have to shave less often as a result.

I've never waxed. Anything.

Is it particularly expensive compared to shaving? How much would things like wax strips cost, anyway? Is waxing facial hair expensive?
Why is everyone missing the obvious?! You GOTTA BE INSANE to wax your face/neck! Big difference if you are a guy or a woman. Women's facial hairs are thin, guys are thick as f*ck and if you attempt waxing them you'll end up bleeding and in the most excruciating pain you ever imagined. Wouldn't be surprised if you end up cutting off some of your skin, plus most hairs won't come out anyway, so the process needs to be repeated over and over. How i know? Just common sense.

Not to mention, waxing can CREATE ingrown hairs, even if you never had them before.

If you have the money, opt for Laser Hair Removal. Is waxing facial hair expensive?
Dude, don't do it. Waxing beard hair, however short, is going to hurt like mad. Facial hair on men is really thick, the same kind of consistency as pubes (sorry man, but it's true) and it'll hurt like mad. Plus if something went wrong or your skin was sensitive to the wax you'd be walking around with a sore face.

The best thing to do about your ingrown hairs is to make sure you're using a really sharp razor and warm water. You can exfoliate too. I know it's not manly or anything, but you can get scrubby stuff for men that takes off the dry skin so the hairs can come through. I'm sure I've seen men's scrubs somewhere.
Wax is cheaper than razors. Especially decent razors. It lasts longer too, on a man's face I'm not sure because the hair grows really fast, but typically 2-3 weeks minimum for other areas. You might consider a depilatory cream too....like Nair...but stick with Sally Hansen products. They are much milder on the skin.

As a side note: you might consider laser hair removal. My nephew had a horrible problem with ingrown hairs on his neck. He got laser treatments for the area and has no more issues with it. Laser removal is permanent. You have to go a few times, and it usually starts out at about $75 an area per treatment.
Actually waxing will reduce ingrowns but will not fully prevent them. Waxing is somewhat painful but in my opinion, worth it. It does not cost too much. Do it yourself kits cost under $10 or you can get it done professionally for about $15-20. Something more effective would be laser hair removal but thats completely up to you.
Its very inexpensive, I get my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks and its 10 dollars every time. The wax strips are a waste of money, they never get all of the hair and end up sticking to you more than pulling off the unwanted hair. I have a friend that gets her back waxed...yuck..but its 15 dollars every 2 weeks for her. Its only better then shaving though
You can go to wal-mart and find anything from 5 to 12 dollars. I have found that the strips work better than the tub of wax that you heat up. Make sure you find one that says it is safe for facial hair. And it helps if you have someone help you. I find it hard to rip the strip off myself.
Waxing is for women. I've been asked buy a guy and a girl why I don't shave or wax my legs. Um... because I'm a man and men are supposed to have hair. Am I right or wrong? Sorry, I just find it a little pu$$y-like for a man to shave or wax any hair from his body. Unless you're a pro swimmer or something.
Waxing is super cheap dont worry, ad the hair grows thinner and after a few years you start loosing a lot of hair in the region you start waxing it is better than shaving.
Around the same price hun. XD On top of all of this it works better too.

Check this video out that I made, comment if you have a YouTube account! :)

its not expensive at all. I use Veet and it is a cream that you can use for any part of your body. Try it! It should be at your supermarket or Chemist (drug store)
