What is the best wax for removing facial hair on a woman?

don't try wax, try nair, i love it. doesn't hurt and you don't need to pull the hair out. it also grows back thinner. nair makes hair removing lotions for all parts of the body and face. look for it at wal-mart.What is the best wax for removing facial hair on a woman?
Best not to wax at all.

    It's a hormonal thing.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with, for example, a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then there isn't a simple answer and there's a lot of misleading ';information'; around.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

    1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

    2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

    * Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

    * Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

    * Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

    * Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco/Philips razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

HELP! SallyHansen Facial Wax BURNT MY FACE! ?

I usually go to get my eyebrows and upperlip waxed at a salon about once a month. but 3 nights ago i found my sally hansen wax kit and decided to give it a try, starting with my upper lip

anyway, i followed the directions but afterwards it was hurting really bad and all red and puffy looking, plus the wax wasn't even coming off. i had school the next morning and figured my face would be normal but i woke up and had a huge reddish blister thing!

basically, ive found out i got some sort of ';chemical burn'; and have so far skipped 3 days of school because im so embarrassed! it turned a darker color making it way noticable and it started kinda peeling so (being soo stupid) peeled most of it off

now the healing process has to start all over and it hurts so bad, i serioiusly am about to cry every time i look in the mirror and have no clue what to do :( ive tried ice, aloe vera, etc but im scared it will scar

also, ive found other similiar complaints about this product and am wondering if i should check into some sort of law suit? this is horrible :(HELP! SallyHansen Facial Wax BURNT MY FACE! ?
it sounds to me like you skinned yourself when waxing. meaning you pulled the strip off at the wrong angle taking off your skin. if it was too hot you would of notice the burning as soon as you put it on your skin. not afterwards.there are also other ereasons why your skin would of came of too there are certain medication that you cannot wax on as it will result in this adn many other factors. the other people are all prob in the same sit as you as non of them are professionally trained to know what they are doing and the consequences. a lawsuit prob wont go.what you want to do is keep putting nesposin/polysporin on it to help heal it it will last for a few weeks depending on how much skin was ripped off. it could be dark for a while to at least a month.HELP! SallyHansen Facial Wax BURNT MY FACE! ?
I have used every kind of wax for sensitive skin but all burnEd my supersentive skin. If your skin is super sensitive skin, I suggest threading. Faster than tweezing. For my burns, I've used ice compress and lots of Neosprin and a%26amp;d ointment.

well if its the stuff you stick in the microwave its kinda your fault for not checking the temp before putting it on your skin. sorry.

but put some neosporin or that scar stuff that is sold by Head On that supposed to get rid of scars.
i would do the same cause that sounds very terrible. i hope your face heals soon.

get some 1% hydrocortisone cream OR ointment( vaseline type texture)from the drug store and put it on the burned area 2X a day.... tryusing cold ice compresses to relieve swelling

do nto use anything with fragrance or perfume in it as it will aggravate the burn

Once the burn crusts or scabs use some bacitracin ( anitibiotic ointment) for a few days and aquaphor ointment to soothe and help the dry crusty areas....

o and if it is INDEED a burn take a photo and go back to the spa or salon and show them and ask for your refund

    Facial wax BURNS!! PLZ HELP!!?
It takes alot to burn someone it could just be that you are slightly sensitive and have gone very red. You can also get a rash where the hair has been pulled from the roots which can often be mistaken for a burn. For it to be a burn it must have blistered and scabbed over. Sometimes if the hair is pulled out wrong or has been pulled too slowly it can also take the top layer of skin off. This is still the therapists fault though so if it is really bad take a photo and take it into the salon. Your salon should at least return your money or offer you some sort of compensation. If it is truly a scarring burn seek legal advice as therapists should not be allowed to get away with it.

As for the burn, use a cold compress on it and a soothing gel. Decleor do a fantastic balm called balm essential, it is a little expensive though at over 拢30 but it works instantly and can also be used for all cuts, bruises, abrasions, splinters etc as well as zits.

Hope this helps, and don't go back to the salon x

You can try putting some cold cream on it. Ahava usually works for me. You can put a moisturizer on it too. It will go away.

If you wax your facial hair does ot grow back thicker?

No, that's an old wive's tale. There's no truth to it.

It probably came about because when the hair does grow back, it hasn't been bleached out by the sun yet, so it's darker, and it looks thicker than the ones around it. But if you let it fade, it will be the same as the others afterward.

Instead of shaving daily why don't men wax their facial hair?

I just shave with a machine, not razors. That way, instead of shaving practically everyday, it takes more like 1-2 months until the hair grows back. It really works and there is no pain.

Actually, I just use the normal head-shaving machines, u know, the one's that barbers use. It works perfectly; You would barely notice that there was hair there in the first place.Instead of shaving daily why don't men wax their facial hair?

Waxing or shaving!!. why do men want to be like women with no facial hairs. Beard is mannish and masculine in nature. It is a most recommended Sunnah growing beard and shaving off is 鈥榟aram鈥?with majority of scholars. So I recomment keeping the beard clean and tidy instead of rubbing the face with a razor daily.
well for one thing, it takes way too long to wax.. men are not going to sit there for that long, spreading, pulling, spreading pulling. and you know you never get all the hairs in one go.. mens facial hair is generally thick and tough, it doesnt come out to normal waxing.. so its just so much quicker and easier to get it done in one swipe of a razor, wham. rinse, go, than to spend an hour waxing.. (believe me.. my husband tried, so we know the difference)... he ended up having to shave all the hairs the wax didnt get anyways.. so why bother...
Its actually illegal in some places to offer that service.

Men's facial hair is pretty thick and the skin is fairly soft on the face.....there is a possibility the man would bleed to death if he got his faced waxed.

Because they're afraid of the pain. :P

Actually, waxing would probably give better results as it makes the skin smoother unlike shaving!
I guess cause theirs a stereotype that waxing hurts like hell (when really it does'nt, just gotta get use to it, lol), and to guys I guess shaving seems more ';manly'; than waxing.
facial hair is symbol of sexiness for arab and meditarenean men.

i always leave a lil bit of facial hair makes me look good
because...well, girl's usually wax their legs and arms. and i've never heard of a guy waxing their face or anything. except for this one time on tv, but he waxed his chest.
    For two reasons:

    1. it's nicer to see a man shaving then waxing like a girl .. which will end in him screaming

    2. who waxes their facial hair?? thats scary .. Yikes!!
    Like it was said.

Easier to look manly shaving, then crying after a horrible wax job. :P
because if they wax their face it can actually cause scars because the skin they have is very soft and gentle.
    because shaving is more manly
i guess cuz men prefer the simple way

    and well, shaving is faster!
waxing only last one week and at 20 $ or better . it is cheaper to shave .
ew coz its not manly plus i like a lil 5 o clock shadow
because they are afraid to get red bumps
    lol

PLEASE HELP!!?
It could be a burn, or it could be you had an allergic reaction to the wax. First, are you male or female? If you are male no licensed person should have waxed you because the hair on the face is to coarse. If you are a female and it is within the week of your menstrual cycle then you should not wax because the skin is to sensitive.

Are you on any medications? Blood thinners and other meds can make the skin more sensitive also. Did you use Rentin-A or any alpha or beta hydroxy creams or face wash. Those should not be used before or after waxing.

If you think it may be an allergic reaction mix which hazel and baking soda into a paste and smear it onto the affected area.

If you are certain it is a burn then you need to apply aloe and moisturizing lotion several times a day. Also Neosporin to keep the area from becoming infected.
the best thing for this is to put some aloe vera on it

keep the area clean, and apply the AV 2-3 times per day

it will heal it and reduce pain almost straight away
Not allot you can do. Just use a Aloe Vera based Gel on it. Still gonna take a few days to heal.
go to your nearest A%26amp;E and get intouch with the salon that done it !!

    1. rub between palms to warm up.

    2. peel apart strips

    3. adhere to surface.

    4. rub 3-4 times in direction hair is growing.

    5. rip off quick close to the skin.

Please help! If you can't thats okay. Maybe its just a bad brand.Facial wax?
Make sure your skin is oil free first, wipe your skin with a toner before you start. Also maybe try heating up your strips with your hairdryer. They need to be warm enough to melt the wax a little. Place the strips in the direction of the hair growth and hold the skin tight while you quickly pull off in the opposite direction.Facial wax?
That's not a good product. Generally any waxing strips you have to warm up and rub don't work. I just heat up regular wax and use cloth to strip it off and you can use it anywhere like on your eyebrow's, upper lip, legs, arms and so on.
no your prob. doing it right but that brand is not a good one
ive used that stuff before ....i did what you did and mine actually worked pretty good......maybe you should just go to the salon or something and get it done by them because personally i think anything you get to do it urself never works as good as going and having it done by a professional
Sounds like you are doing it right, but it's really difficult to wax your own skin. I have bought and tried Nads before, and it didn't work for me. My suggestion would be to just go to a salon and have a professional do it. It's fast, not too terribly expensive, and they do a good job. If the wax bothers your skin, try ';threading.'; It's an old, middle-eastern technique where they use a single strand of thread to remove the hair. It's amazing how accurate they are, and the result is great: perfect hair removal and it takes longer to grow back. Plus, there is no wax to burn or irritate your skin, so no red, blotchy skin!
well same thing happened with me...ammmmmmm facial wax is not good for your skin it make u look older i mean after some time your face skin will shrink and will become like old people...so better do threading.....good luck

Use hydro cortisone cream if it itches. There is all sorts of lightening creams out on the market. Go to your local day spa and see what they recommend. Don't use just anything. It could harm your skin even more. If you have African or Latino skin, this is more prevalent. Next time, ask them to put a thin layer of oil on your skin before waxing, it prevents your skin from ripping off.
You will have to use some cream that fades the dark spot. Look at the MDForte website. They have all types of creams to help with this problem.
apply sudacrem for the area for a few hours and the mark will heal, but if its still there try scar minimising cream x
Check with an esthetician! They will be able to direct you to the proper products, and if not they will (if professional) direct you to a good dermatologist.
Cover it with a big thick fake mustache.
cocoa butter, helps promote the regeneration of the epidermis when damaged.

    Facial wax...?

yeasterdy i had facial wax for the first time and the waxing lady told me that i should'nt wax my face again cuz my skin is too soft and it couldnt handle the heat of the wax and it left small burns in the area around my mouth so if i'm not supposed to get facial wax what can i do instead of it????

I really need an answer...Facial wax...?
Sally Hansen used to have these cold wax strips that worked awesome. They weren't really wax, more like industrial strength tape. You just peeled off the backing, stuck it on, and yanked. It's the same as the eyebrow strips. The strips were big, made for your legs, but I just cut them down to the size I needed for bikini and facial waxing and they were great. I'm in a hick town now so can't find them, but I bet they still make them and Ulta or Sephora would have them.Facial wax...?
Other options are to shave, bleach or consider laser hair removal. I'm on my 2nd treatment and love it! Wish I considered laser earlier.
I personally think that the best product on the market is Veet reusable wax strips for the face.

They are strips with cold wax already on them. It does a really good job. Just smooth a strip on to the upper lip (or where ever) and rip it off really fast, close to the skin. Smooth and hairless in a second.
I use Surgicream facial hair extra gentle removal cream by Ardell. I've used other brands and this seems to be the only one that doesn't leave me with red spots.
There is facial depilatory made by Nair,Sally Hansen, etc. Make sure you get the kind that says ';for faces'; or it will burn you.
Try nair, or another salon for a second opinion. If you didn't mind the redness than that's all that matters. You can try an at home kit, that doesn't require heat. : )
    Shave i guess..
    bleach or tweeze
    pluck it
You can bleach the hairs, get your face threaded, or pluck.

For permanent results, you can start seeing an electrologist but it is costly, time-consuming and painful.

My sister in law, whose a beautician (or whatever they call them these days), says hot wax is better than cold, cause you can spread it thinner and it will hurt a lot less. I have use cold wax strips on my upper lip a few times before I discovered this hot wax, and OMG that stuff hurts. I personally use Sally Hansen Lavender Spa Wax Facial Wand, which comes with everything you need (the strips, the little stick to apply it). I tend to have very sensitive skin, and I can't use depilatory creams on my upper lip as they really irritate my skin, but this stuff doesn't at all. It's very gentle and also comes with this blue oil stuff which really soothes the skin afterwards. Plus it's also cheap. Oh, don't go for that ';sugaring'; stuff, the stuff that says it washes off in water, supposed to be the alternative to hot wax? It doesn't work. Found that out the hard way. lolFacial wax at home?
I use Sally Hansen, get the microwaveable eyebrow, lips and face wax. It will not make ur face irritated. It comes with Benzocaine 5%...which is a topical analgesic. It is a post-treatment skin relief. The whole kit comes with wax instructions, eyebrow stencils, tweezers, anda 5 oz bottle of wax...All this for 5.99...
    Sally Hansen, Walmart
I recommend salon waxing. I have tried it both ways, at home and in the salon. I prefer the salon because its alot faster, mess free, and most importantly ALOT LESS PAINFUL!!! Give it a try u will never try at home waxing again!

    Facial wax problem...?

I want to wax my face, like my eyebrows, upper lip, and sideburns. I've done it before, and it's great, the hair is gone and doesn't come back for quite a while. But when I do my face breaks out! I have to trade furry face for pimply face! Is there anything I can do before or after waxing that will reduce or even eliminate this effect? I don't like the leave-on hair removing creams cause it makes the hair grow back thicker! (no matter what the box says!)Facial wax problem...?
After waxing the pores remain open for a time from the trauma of removing the hair follice and root. Make sure your skin is clean before you wax and wash it after too to remove the wax residue. Don't use oil.Facial wax problem...?
Ask Ur beautician to advise u on a deep penetrating tissue oil. This would help to calm the brake out. Furthermore ther isn't that much u can do. U just have a very sensitive skin.
You may be allergic to the product, so try using a different brand. If you still break out then use proactiv... it really works believe me.
clean the area very good before waxing to remove all oils

After waxing you must gently wash, wipe or put ice the applied areas.

    Best home facial wax kit?

I like the Sally Hansen wax strips. Regular waxes always get everywhere and I end up with a mess. These are simple to use. They are strips that already have wax on them and you just pull them apart and use them. They work great and are inexpensive.Best home facial wax kit?
Veet ';ready to use wax kit.'; You can buy it from Walmart or Zellars and they have a special line for face/bikini waxing. The strips come with wax already on them, you just have to cut them to your preferred size or keep them as made. I use them, they are perfect!Best home facial wax kit?
The Avon one is good, so are any of the Nair products.

    Hope this helps!

Is it safe to have bleaches, facials and waxing during pregnancy????

i guess soIs it safe to have bleaches, facials and waxing during pregnancy????
don't wax until you get into 2nd trimester cos you don't want to miscarry, facials are fine but im not too sure about bleaching, you might want to research that one out for yourselfIs it safe to have bleaches, facials and waxing during pregnancy????
All three are perfectly fine. Check any pregnancy book or website and they will tell you the same.
Waxing and facials are fine...I'd double check on the bleaching with your OB.
NO! speak with your OB/GYN they will let you know what things are off limits. No hair coloring nothing chemical. Be au natural for a while.
    defiantly not
My doctor told me all of them are fine.
bleaches n facial u can bt not waxing
    yes...
There does not appear to be any evidence to show that waxing is unsafe in pregnancy and many women continue their usual regular waxing programme.

Facial 鈥?It is usually safe to get a facial during pregnancy. Just be sure you let your technician know you are pregnant, especially if you are not showing. Your skin may be more sensitive while pregnant.

Bleach鈥?if you regularly bleach hair on your body, you may want to stop during pregnancy. At this time, while there isn鈥檛 any hard evidence suggesting use of bleach or bleach related products may cause birth defects, there are also no studies confirming its safety.

    hope this helps
No. Some ingredients can absorbed and cause birth defects one common component is tretoin or retonic acid which is teratogenic. Why take the risk? Go for a mild soap,
    yes
facials and waxing yes...what are you bleaching? its more then likely safe...as long as the fumes arent too harsh

  • Men facial wax. heeellp!?

I'm a 16, so hair are starting to grow in my face. and i don't like it. I dont wanna shave in the future because I know my facial hair will get thicker and harder every time I will shave. Therefore, I'm considering to use wax to keep the new future facial hair soft..

My question is, is this alright? if so, what UK products would you recommend.

(i dont want to use a razor aswell)Men facial wax. heeellp!?
waxing on your face will be alright has long has you have a somebody who no what they are doing and it might hurt a little.

    Best facial wax for men?

so i shave my beard, duh... but the upper cheek area has some hair that i dont want to shave and i dont want it to get thicker cuz then it'll look bad... so i was wondering what kind of wax should i use for my face...Best facial wax for men?
    nivea!Best facial wax for men?
DONT USE WAX!!!!! My fraternity brother made that mistake and completely destroyed his face, it seriously took him a month to even begin to look normal.
Do not gay out and wax or whatnot.

Just learn how to shave and learn how to train your face.
    men should shave

Have you ever had a Parrafin wax facial treatment done before??

Yes, I was just wondering how this feels? Have had a lot of relaxing awesome facials w/aroma therapy ect. --never tried Parrafin wax.

How did it feel afterwards? Did it make ur skin feel even smoother, even softer and retain moisture?

(harsh cold weather/winter months/New York)...looking for a nice treatment solution during this season.

Hey thanks!Have you ever had a Parrafin wax facial treatment done before??
Parrafin masks are really good to treat dry skin. They are extremely moisturizing and creat a barrier on top of the skin, locking in moisture. This barrier stays on top of the skin for awhile so you should get long-lasting results. Skin will be smoother and more hydrated. You should be pleased with this treatment!Have you ever had a Parrafin wax facial treatment done before??
    No.
    never had one

Can you use facial wax for bikini wax?

how do u use facial wax..without the STRIPS??Can you use facial wax for bikini wax?
Ummmm, facial wax has strips... Unless you mean one of the facial hair bleachers, or hair dissolvers. You rub the wax on and stick the strip on. It would work as bikini wax, but there might not be enough...

Girls I need advice on to wax or use a depilatory facial cream..?

I have a little bit of soft peachy like hair on my upper lip which is annoying as it is pretty noticeable (so my son tells me finally) which is best, a wax or use a depilatory facial cream..Girls I need advice on to wax or use a depilatory facial cream..?
Not a creme. They have nasty stuff in them.

If it's noticeable, use the wax. Only hurts (like the Dickens!) for a moment, then press hard on it with a wet cloth. Don't get overzealous. Just take off the dark, coarse ones.

Whatever you do, don't shave.Girls I need advice on to wax or use a depilatory facial cream..?
Well I am an Esthetician, (skincare professional) You can do it either way. It takes the hair cycle about 4 weeks to grow back.

I prefer wax. The creams makes my face feel numb. Hard wax is the most gentle for your face compared to strip wax. Hope this helps.
I wax - it is quicker, less messy and the hair gets finer over time so it needs doing less regularly

When your pregnant, can you still get your nails done, get a facial, and a bikini wax?

You can probably get the waxing and facial done provided the facial is all-natural with no chemicals. A non-nail polish manicure is OK. Avoid using nail polish remover and nail polish though as the chemicals will go into your nails and skin, not a good idea while you are pregnant. When your pregnant, can you still get your nails done, get a facial, and a bikini wax?
Yes you can get the waxing done.

When your pregnant, can you still get your nails done, get a facial, and a bikini wax?
While some people may say the fumes are bad in a nail salon- the thing to avoid is close contact with making acrylic nails. So... paint is fine but NO TIPS!!

Facial is good- tell the person you are pregnant and avoid any acids.

Bikini wax= perfect. No need to squat over a mirror.
Yes you can...although I have do idea why you would want to get a bikini wax if you were 9 months pregnant!!
The chemicals used in salons are considered industrial carcinogenic pollutants. Are you sure you want to be going near that stuff?

    ';Your baby has an extra finger on each hand, but your nails look MARVELOUS!';
    yes, yes and yes
    In my opinion;

nails are an iffy situation because of all the fumes. i got mine done at like 16 weeks. just try to make sure its a well ventilated space

facials, i think as long as its done with natural products and nothing to strong then go for it.

and i see no reason to withhold from bikini waxes
yes it is ok I read it on a web site called baby center
    yes
i got a massage instead of the bikini wax but it was awesome
Glamour Mama! I like that! You should be fine, just steer clear of getting your hair colored, even a touch up isn't a wise choice. Congrats Mommy to be!
It is just fine to do it
Of course you can. It's a good way to pamper yourself a bit.Why would you even want to wear a bikini ? Some pregnant gals get a reddish rash on their cheeks and face so be careful of some cosmetics. My advice is keep your face clean and let the glow show through. Congrats
im 7 2/3 months pregnant and have been getting my nails done sence i was pregnant with my 1st kid whos now 9 1/2 months i see no problem with it. the facial is a good relaxer and the bikini wax will hurt only ur pride. best to get one before your due date that way you look good in the birthing pic's lol
I got my nails done the whole time I was pregnant, and the girl I always went to to do them was pregnant too, lol. I didn't get any of the others done but I don't see why not. I wouldn't think there's any chemicals in them to effect the baby. The facial will cleanse your skin, which is healthy, and a bikini wax shouldn't cause any problems, besides a little pain. Lol.
yes u can get all these stuff

    Ya... It's very safe.

Is it better to bleech/wax/pluck/ or shave facial hair (girls)?

I have hair on my cheeks for some reason and some above my lip. They both are somewhat noticeable( but some days more than not) i dont really want to have to wax them cuz my dark hair grows back. Will it grow back thicker if i pluck ?Is it better to bleech/wax/pluck/ or shave facial hair (girls)?
personally, i wax my upper lip if i ever think i need to.. but it seems to me that you're doing it alot, making your hair groow thicker? so if i were you, i would bleach it but the more you wax, pluck, or shave, the thicker it's going to come in.

=]]Is it better to bleech/wax/pluck/ or shave facial hair (girls)?
I am assuming you are a woman...?

My aunt is a dermatologist and I would like to clear something up: Hair does NOT grow back thicker if you wax/shave/pluck/laser if off.

Waxing is your best option. Shaving on the face often leaves marks and bumps. Plucking takes a h.ell of a long time. I would recommend laser surgery, but while it is mostly permanent, a) it can be sort of pricey and b) after a big change hormonally (pregnancy, menopause, etc) sometimes the laser surgery will no longer work

    hope i helped!

    good luck girl!
oh i was in the same situation as you are. I have dark hair and i had a lot above my upper lip and i tried bleaching which worked but then it was just as noticeable cuz it was bleach blonde. I wax above my upper lip and pluck my eyebrows. For cheeks I would leave it but if it really bothers you then i think i wud Bleach and then if it still is really noticeable wax.
    wax
bleech, wax, pluck BUT NEVER EVER SHAVE! :)

    Men facial wax. heeellp!?

oh yeah, I forgot about the razor, I dont wanna use them aswell.Men facial wax. heeellp!?
it actually doesn't become darker and thicker, the hair is just flat on the end which makes it feel thicker. it might be a tad darker from not being exposed to the sun but if you shave every day or every other day it shouldnt be a problem

i would not reccomend getting it waxedMen facial wax. heeellp!?

I have blisters on face after first facial wax. help.?

i had my first facial wax last evening and suddenly my face is covered with itchy blisters. how can i soothe the itching and get rid of them?any home made solutions available??I have blisters on face after first facial wax. help.?
Try an Aloe gel. If you have blisters it sounds like the wax was too hot. It may even be that your skin is very sensitive but either way go back to your aesthetician and get her advice..... ImmediatlyI have blisters on face after first facial wax. help.?
It looks like you have sensitive skin. One thing I recommend you not to do is to pick at it or your get a scar. Use an oil-free moisturizer in the day and put on Neusporin at night. Hope that helps, if you get blisters your first time you are more likely to get them the second time.
You have sensitive skin... next time use the wax made for sensitive skin..

    Good Luck
Omg same thing happened to me....i have had it many times only once did it happen. the only thing different is that the lady doing my waxing used large strips instead of the small strips. I think that is what caused it. ripping to large of an area all at once.
why dont you just try shaving??? Or grow some 5 oclock shadow, it looks cool.

    What first..facial or eyebrow wax?

I have heard from some that you break out on your forehead if you get your eye brows waxed..and then get a facial after. Some have told me the opposite. Which is better to get done first? my skin is very acne prone and i am trying not to break out before my wedding..please helpWhat first..facial or eyebrow wax?
i don really think it matters at all. but if you need to get them done really badly do both at the same time!!What first..facial or eyebrow wax?
uh i think get your brows waxed last. your follicles are open right after you get waxed, and getting anything in there might irritate it.
It doesnt matter, it aint true.

But i prefere to get my eyebrows done first
get your eyebrows done first then get a facial.

I have pcos and because of it I have some facial hair, very dark very noticeable, so I decided to wax it, and accidentally hit an area with peach fuzz... is this peach fuzz going to become dark and course when it grows back in?I have excess facial hair and i waxed it off, but i accidentally hit an area with peach fuzz...?
No, I always do it %26amp; comes back still light.I have excess facial hair and i waxed it off, but i accidentally hit an area with peach fuzz...?
It should grow back as peach fuzz.
I am so sorry but.... yes. I would consider laser hair removal it's growing cheaper by the day and makes it gone forever after 3 sessions.

I have a lot of facial hair on my face...i'm 15..n my mom wont allow fr laser treatment..not waxing on face!?

plzz itz damn urgent...help me...I have a lot of facial hair on my face...i'm 15..n my mom wont allow fr laser treatment..not waxing on face!?
DONT SHAVE...not a good idea...then you continuously have to do it every couple of days because the hair comes back dark..

honestly...longest lasting without laser is waxing..it hurts but its worth itI have a lot of facial hair on my face...i'm 15..n my mom wont allow fr laser treatment..not waxing on face!?
Why wouldn't you wax? That is honestly the best option if you have dark hair on your face.

Are you sure it is noticeable, everyone has hair on their face, most people's is very fine and light colored so you don't notice it. If you do have dark or thick hair you need to either wax, pluck, or bleach it.

NEVER SHAVE....that will cause it to come back darker and thicker.
used a good scrubber,,and don't bleach take a natural bleach mix hot milk with lemon juice and apply on the face every night it not only lighten the colour of your hair it also give your face glow and make it wrinkle free...and wash ur face with gram floor..
o-m-god! i understand.. it has happened to me too and i have Black hair! r u a sikh by any chance because it would be so offensive to wax if ur not meant to.. i would just use moisturiser it works for me somehow... if only girls could be as free as boys... but afterall i dont wanna disown my religion....
Try that new pad thing, it is like sandpaper.See them on tv for $19.95
just bleach it sally has those bleaching products and there is extra strenght tooo

  • I got facial wax in my head hair, how do i take it out?

i was waxing my eyebrows and the hot wax spilled into my hair and i dont know how to take it outI got facial wax in my head hair, how do i take it out?
Get some baby oil. Put a few drops on your fingers and start working it in in very small sections where the wax got in your hair. Do not try to comb through it or pull on it. Just keep massaging the oil into it and it will eventually break down enough to slide it off the hair, little by little. It's a pain but it works: been there, done that.I got facial wax in my head hair, how do i take it out?
Azulene Oil you can go to your, local drug store and buy it they have it in the waxing kit you rub it on till the wax goes away and you shouldn't need to much..Good luck!!
put peanut butter in it and let it sit in there for about 15 minutes and wash your hair where the wax is..with very hot water (don't let the water touch your scalp)

the wax will come out for suree

Use any type of oil, and soap, I've done that before.

Oil takes it out, but you might need a lot of it.
    thats not good.

try putting your hair [becarful of your head]

into really hot water to soften the wax and try taking it out that way.
baby oil works any type. this probably wont work but peanut butter gets gum out,, lol.

i also think if u just wash it out it'll come off.
Try using baby oil or finger nail polish. Both work well in removing sticky things from clothes such as sap on a blanket.
    Carefully
    Razor.
    Peanut butter
    haha.
its just like gum haha. Use peanut butter. It loosens the wax and takes it right out! hope i helped!

Just wash it out like normal silly
    baby oil
    use baby oil
    yikes! go bald
well know u kno not 2 wax yur eyebrows by yurself
just peel it out ! or use oil..
    shave it

I used veet facial depilatory wax strips and my ';moustache'; area got irritated??

what can i put on it so that its gone faster, does baby oil, neosporin, honey, or anything else work to make it heal faster??

thanks soo much!!I used veet facial depilatory wax strips and my ';moustache'; area got irritated??
Don't overdo it with the products, it's irritated enough. Try a hydrocortisone cream to soothe the irritation and take some aspirin (it's an anti-inflammatory so that should help).I used veet facial depilatory wax strips and my ';moustache'; area got irritated??
neosporin would probably be best if you have open areas in the flesh..you must have left it on too long or you are sensitive to it...oooh sore...
Neosporin is a good suggestion, as is Aspirin.

The big lesson to learn, though, is that there's no ideal answer to dealing with your moustache. The least-damaging method is shaving with a men's-type electric razor. Philips/Norelco are the least irritating, and though the prices go up into many hundreds of $$, they do have a cheap travel one for about $25.
    wait u have a moustache?

I heard waxing your face makes your skin stretched and your facial skin becomes loose in 5 years time?

i heard bleaching damages the skin not in present but you see the real result of bleaching after few years. Creams also have side effects as you can get scars or black patches in later years. electrolysis or laser can go wrong and also leaves you with scars same goes with threading and waxing. I have lots of hair on my face and i am only 19. idon't want to be in late 20s and crying infront of a mirror by looking at my face. whenever i think of doing something about my facial hair i just stop. (By the way i do threading for my eyebrows and facial hair but i do have have side buns and hair on my cheeks and chin. My other problem is i have little hair on my neck they are not dark but my concern is that if i do remove my facial hair how will my neck will look. I am so hairy and stressed about it my back is the worst hairiest i just don't know what to do. Please tell me the most safest and tried by you and cheapest also. Thanks!!!!!!!! i really appreciate you answering!!!I heard waxing your face makes your skin stretched and your facial skin becomes loose in 5 years time?
if you skin is tanned/dark (eg. indian) then bleaching creams may leave pigmentation after continued use over a period of years (10-20years). it also smells really gross. so atleast look for a natural ingredient one.

Electrolysis is so old school, PAINFUL, and dangerous.

Waxing is great for faces. Make sure your facialist is using a natural wax - based on honey or aloe vera.

It will be red/tender for a few hours maybe up to 5hours if you are sensitive but after that it will look great and should last for a month. Then go again. Waxing thins the hair over time - you should notice a difference in 6months-year. Expecially cheecks, chin, sideburns, - lip hair is slighter harder to shift.

But i would say the best permanent hair removal is lazer - the new kind not the old. Go to a special lazer center which uses light activated lazers to kill hair FOLLICLES (not hair) that way it will not grow back. there is no pulling involved so the hair should be shaved off prior to lazer then the hand held lazer machine is placed against ur skin and light is zapped in (not electricty like in electrolysis) the light reacts against dark hairs best as they contrast to the skin. also, the lazer machine should have a cooling tip. So you do not feel ANY pain, you do not need anesthetic, it will not be tender. 7-8sessions of this should remove hair permanently (i would know). Check out the website below and look for a similar place in your area, it is expensive, but imagine not hair forever!!!I heard waxing your face makes your skin stretched and your facial skin becomes loose in 5 years time?
ah! i hope thats not true!
    Professional wax.
    1 cup besan

a bit less than 1/2 cup of milk

8-10 neem leaves (Neem K Patay)

    2 teaspoonfl turmeric powder (Haldi)

    a lemon

a tomato{ put it in boiling water and then plunge it in cold water simultaneously many times and peel it)

    cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice. keep the juice aside. take the rind and half quantity of the milk taken adding the neem leaves and the peeeled tomato. grind the 4 items in a mixer to a paste{need not be very fine}

take the besan and add the turmeric, lemon juice and the neem tomato paste. stir in the remaining milk too. if the paste is very thick, some water or milk can be added to get it to the right consistency.

the perfect paste is made when it has the same consistency like that of skimmed milk or milkmaid.

apply this paste on the face and neck once in 2 days prefereably before going out for a party or get together. leave the paste for 15 to 20 minutes till it becomes hard. wash off while rubbing it on your skin. you'll get the perfect skin in a few applications

note: people having dry skin can add 6-7 drops of olive oil or baby oil or your moisturiser dat u use daily

u will also feel some very slight tingling sensation wen the pack is on but dat is just the neem, lemon juice and tomato cleansing ur skin and fighting pimple causing germs.

apply ice to ur face after washing off the pack and patt dryin. then apply ur make up.

this will prevent ur face from sweating and will keep ur face fresh for a long time and wont spoil the make up too.

STORE THE PACK IN AN AIR TIGHT JAR IN THE REFRIGIRATOR or else the pack will harden

if the ingridients r used in the above mentioned quantity, den this pack lasts for 5-6 applications...

Try this...i know it will help u alot.....

    Facial wax removal for guys?

when i shave it grows back fairly fast and leaves a ugly shadow hair on my face. whats the best facial wax to use, and how long does it take for hair to grow back? will it get rid of the ';shadow'; when u wax?Facial wax removal for guys?
Well,if your face is dat bushy than you should try using wax cuz because wax really does take hair out,it was once this cream dat you had to put on your skin and then you tske a pad and put it on an area then you just gently peal it off and the hair is gone, try searching the internet on Google!!!!Facial wax removal for guys?
try shaving every 6 hours then..
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are ';permanent'; hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Is Veet effective? facial wax remover. or the one for the eyebrows on commercials?

Veet is effective if you don't have sensitive skin. When you have sensitive skin, You'll break out all over! I've seen it happen before. And after you use veet be sure to take a shower, Because then everyone can smell it, GROSS. :) I hope this answer was helpful to you!

I have very sensitive skin, even waxing makes allergy. How can i change my facial hairs into skin colour?

how can i get a clear skinI have very sensitive skin, even waxing makes allergy. How can i change my facial hairs into skin colour?
you cant, you could try laser hair removal.I have very sensitive skin, even waxing makes allergy. How can i change my facial hairs into skin colour?
    You can bleach your hair

    or

you can remove it with a hair removing cream.

    or

    Threading is another option

    or

get it permanently removed with laser.
Apply a paste of turmeric powder on the face and leave it for half an hour before taking your daily bath. Also use the paste of turmeric instead of soap on the entire body and rinse thoroughly with water. You facial and body hair should stop growing further.
    bleach your hair... facial bleach
You could buy one of those personal groomers that trim really close to the skin surface, but they do not irritate the skin in any way. Then you can gently trim the hair off without wax/dyes.
    Hi Deepa

Do you have lots of Hair on your face, which are bit thick and coarse hair,If so then only you need to wax the face. You can go to a good beauty parlour. Ask her first to do a patch test on your face with a good bleach cream. If you do not get any irritation or reaction on your face after 24 hours. You can ask her to bleach your face using a good bleach cream available in the market-Egg Jolen,Fem etc.She will know which is the lattest and a better product for your skin.Take some guidelines from her also.

    Best of Luck
where is the hair on ur private part?????????
Actually, m nt interested in all these things bt I have seen people applying bleach cream on their body hair to bring them in tone with their skin.

  • My mom doesn't let me wax or shave or thread my facial hair and i have a lot ?

i considered having my friend's sister do it for me but my mom is really scrict and would get very mad. plz give me ideas of ways to remove facial hair and to convice her to alow me to remove it.My mom doesn't let me wax or shave or thread my facial hair and i have a lot ?
Why don't you use a hair removal cream. That's what I did to remove the hairs above my upper lip and it worked. Just leave it on your face for 3 minutes or so and wash it away. You can get someone to get it for you so that your mom won't find out.My mom doesn't let me wax or shave or thread my facial hair and i have a lot ?
I am not sure how old you are but that may be the reason why she is not letting do it. I would sit her down and have a conversation about it, try to avoid yelling and all that other fun stuff, just let her know you are very uncomfortable with it and let her know how you really feel.

Strict parents aren't fun but she could just think you are wanting to do it for the wrong reasons as well and it just looking out for you.

And I don't want to say go against your mother, but if she is being very unreasonable about it after you talk to her, ask your friends mother and sister about what they think, and if they are ok with it, let them do it.

If you are younger and in your teens, I know it can be embarassing -- this is something your mother has to understand. You need to feel comfortable in your skin. This isn't a dramatic change or anything, so don't feel bad if you have to go against her on this one.
    bleach it

there this product not sure exact wat it's called but u might be able to buy it at a beauty shop its not for hair(like on ur head[might be too harsh and make you break go don't try it]) but it comes in 2 parts then u mix and apply wait the time it suggest and there u go invisible facial hair!
its your face adn your hair, shes not the one who has to put up with feeling insecure and people teasing you.. just get rid of it, dont shave it whatever you do it'll grow back worse.. she cant make you put it back after its gone
You could bleach it... it doesn't remove the hair but it bleaches it to a light blonde color that's barely visible. I used to do it all the time and you can't see anything
LOOK YER MOM IS NOT ALLOWING U TO REMOVE YER FACIAL HAIR OR WAX COX MAYBE THIS IS NOT D AGE FOR ALL THIS

U MAY HAVE A AL OT OF HAIR GROWTH BUT WAXIN BFORE AGE SUMTYMS CAUSES PROBLEMS. SO MAYBE THAT IS D REASON YER MOM IS NOT ALLOWING U TOOOO.....
    don't shave facial hair!

just get tweezers and pluck (note: toothpaste/ice is good for numbing pain)
Just remove it! ITs not like she can make you put it back once its gone! She'll get over it.
say that every one makes fun of me andi need to do it

Is it safe to wax ur facial hair?does the hair grow back more faster n thicker?

Well..waxing can be brilliant..but I would say only as a short term solution to hair loss!!

The thing is, the skin on the face is very delicate and can easily be strecthed/pulled/burnt/sag.

Firstly, waxing can cause you to come out in minor pimples on the face..as with alot of hair removals.

But the main problem with waxing, is that with time, it will eventually pull the skin, causing it to droop and sag. Two main areas to be affected by this are the sides of the face (the crease between the nose and the cheeks will become more and more visible, eventually turning into a permanent wrinkle. the second area is the upper lip..and again this can droop.

The skin with time will loose its suppleness and firmness.

I would STRONGLY recommend you against this treatment for the face. I was waxing my face from the age of 15..and started i noticed that my skin was not as taut as it used to be, and usually after waxing the lines by my sides and my nose were more evident.

I waxed my face for 5 years..then switched to THREADING. NOT only did i find my hair was coming back finer and after longer periods-my skin altogether felt and looked better..and i havent looked back since. however it can be abit painfull..but i promise only at first!

There are alot of places i know of now that will NOT provide waxing of the face..and use threading as an alternative.

But if you cant get threading done (usually alot of indian and arabic places do provide this service)..maybe look into eplilation or laser..but seriously..try to avoid waxing of the face and neck...you will thank me in your grand old years!!!

Goodluck..and trust me..i am an expert on hair removal for the face..i was pretty much born with a beard!haha...Is it safe to wax ur facial hair?does the hair grow back more faster n thicker?
yes its ok it ggrows back ofcourse in 30 days and no not thicker u just have to keep up with itIs it safe to wax ur facial hair?does the hair grow back more faster n thicker?
Yes, the hair will grow back faster and darker.
Yes, it's safe, but it does grow back!!!
Yes it's a great way to get rid of unwanted facial hair! It doesn't grow back faster or thicker. Waxing allows the hair to be less noticable when it grows back, so you can wax it again in time before anyone else sees it!!!
no not really but at least it doen`t grow back faster and thicker
NO DON'T WAX!!! It hurts and it makes it grow back longer darker and faster, use nair or some other type of removal product. thats only for lip if its eyebrow then its fine...lol
It is not safe at all. I have seen severe burns and a lot of discomfort in the people who regularly have it done. That said, try other means. There is a scissor like appliance that is sold in the drugstores and gets rid of your facial hair safely. It is called something Touch. Sorry, I do not recall the name for it, but it is very effective and does not cause any problems.
Absolutely safe to have facial hair waxed. If you keep it up, there is a good chance that the it will be more sparse when it grows back in.

There is no hair removal system that makes hair grow back darker or thicker, it is a common misconception. However, if you shave hair, it causes a blunt end so when it grows out it's prickly and a bit more noticeable than before. Waxing does not cause blunt ends.

I do not recommend doing it yourself, though. Go to a high-quality salon to have it done. They will make sure that everything gets removed properly and that the wax is not too hot to burn your skin.
If this is your first time, I would go to a professional to get it done(most hair stylist can do it for $5-10,depending on where %26amp; how much hair is being removed). That is the safest way to go. Howver, if you are doing it on your own, I would say at your own risk. You should also make sure to do it a couple of days to a week in advance if waxing for an important event(wedding, etc.) and you should go for something without a frangrance, just to be sure that it won't interfere with any sensitive skin.IN regards to it growing back, it grows back slower and thinner because you're removing the hair from the pore, unlike shaving which the root of the hair is still there. Good luck(and few burns)!
    safe
Well if you do wax facial hair then yes it will grow back eventually but it will come back how it started. you will not get a gross bushy spot of hair if you wax your face. just give it a try and if it doesn't work then try a different method.
My sister works in a salon. She even waxes ther 13 year olds eyebrows. It can stink a bit if you aren't used to it, but if you go to someone who knows what they are doing you should be fine. It doesn't grow back faster or thicker, my sister says it actually will start growing thinner, but that's just what she says.

    Where to get facial wax?

Where do you buy facial wax, that WORKS.

I don't really like going to the salon; so I want to do it myself.

    I don't want the one where you put it on and just wipe it off;

I'm talking about the WAX that you put on and peel off with fabric or strips.

Alsoo; Sally Hansen sucks, so please don't suggest that :)Where to get facial wax?
Nair is decent they have the *newness* the wax that you pull off without the OUCH ! In the beauty section o Target/WalMart or whatever!

If your looking for like a more professional/exclusive wax for the the next 10 years of your life or something like that you should research online..

Nads is also a wax that you can get from Target . im not so sure with this one though (no personal use)

Those Korean stores that sell beauty/hair products carry all/most of the salon brand products. Like stylist/technicians sometimes purchase the same products they get online at the korean stores.. if you research online and find a brand you can get it from the store if you dont get it online...

i personally think nair is just as good though =)Where to get facial wax?
nair they have a waxing kit u can find it at a drug store or walmart ect

    i usedit works great!

What facial hair. I don't have a hair on my body. I'm not an ape. j/k
Because waxing is for girls and shaving is for real men. That's why little boys want to shave even if they only have pimples instead of facial hair. It is a rite of passage.
isn't waxing painfull... especially on the face???
Not exactly true. Waxing can cause ingrown hairs more frequently than shaving. Also facial hair is frequently course and somewhat wavy or curly in most cases.
shaving's quicker and doesn't hurt as much, but maybe they should create some kind of hair removal method that doesn't hurt as much

Pls help! recomend a good facial hot wax hair remover?

I just put on the surgi wax and it didn't work at all. UGH! soo mad!

Is there any other hot wax you recomend. I hate lotion hair removers and the foam ones too they burn my skin really bad.Pls help! recomend a good facial hot wax hair remover?
You should try threading. It hurts but it lasts a long time and it won't mees up your skin. I have that same problem with waxing. My skin always breaks out.Pls help! recomend a good facial hot wax hair remover?
Well, I use Sally Hansen wax strips, and they work SOOO well for me. It's not really hot wax, you rub the pre-waxed sheets in between your hands to warm them up a bit, then apply them, and rip! haha, seriously though, they work SO well.

  • Is it ok if i use aloe vera oil instead of gel for facial wax burns??

Aloe Vera is fine to apply to burns or red %26amp; irritated skin. Apply it several times until the burning pain stops.

I use alcohol free aloe vera as a moisturizer on my face %26amp; neck when I have acne breakouts. Its doesnt clog pores %26amp; doesnt make my face get oily.

Hope the wax burns feel better soon!!Is it ok if i use aloe vera oil instead of gel for facial wax burns??
I think the Aloe Vera will help to soothe your skin so it doesn't hurt as much, but i am not sure about ( if you have any redness ) it will bring the redness down.

Try it and see, if it doesn't work then try gel.

    Hope it helped

Facial Wax Strips, Heat Wax, or Ready To Use Wax?

I aleady tried wax strips (Nad's) and it never pulled my hairs out... so I read the precautions and said men should not use this (Why? Is it because its not strong enough?)

So, can men use wax? If so, what kind?

i've used heat wax before, it works good...but i reccomend going to a salon, and yes men can use wax.Facial Wax Strips, Heat Wax, or Ready To Use Wax?
Yes men can use wax strips. I would suggest u go to a salon where they do body waxing...it's cheaper than buying so many different over the counter products and the hair usually doesn't grow back for at least a week or so
YEAH ASK A SALON BUT I AM SOOO INTO ANY GUY IF THEY DO ME.

Consider Nad's hair removal gel - it's actually a water-soluble sugaring solution. Check the label - it should come in a jar or tube.

I go to a beauty supply store and get GIGI wax. It is professional so it works wonderful! And if you get the hard wax it is less mess and no strips.
For leg wax I use Veet (formerly Immac) cold wax strips in preference to another couple of brands I've tried......they're good, but they come with wipes to get rid of residual wax so I'm not sure if water gets it off.......but oil works for this; any type of skin oil, olive oil, vegetable oil etc......

Will the Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit work well on men's facial hair?

I hate stubble since I look ugly with stubble and tweeze instead (yes I know it takes a long time..I've actually been tweezing for 2 hours right now while watching tv). So I decided waxing would be better. I can take the pain lol..so dont worry. And yes Im a dude....Im just in ';disguise'; which is why my avatar is a girl. I was just messing around with my avatar lol cuz I was bored. So would this work on men's facial hair? I seriously hate it with a passion. I would get electrolysis or laser-hair removal but there are side effects I dont want to risk.

Facial wax strips VS Wax without strips?

what's better for hair removing for cheeks? Iam looking at 2 different products, one has strips (seems less work) and other is micowave wax etc ... strips look quick, any drawback? I m in UK, which is the best brand for this stuff?Facial wax strips VS Wax without strips?
    use the strips.

without it sucks.Facial wax strips VS Wax without strips?
the wax one is going to be the best. The strips prob are quicker, but with the wax the hair isn't going to be growing back as fast and also you can get more accurate with the wax
I would go to a professional. If you don't want to I would use the strips.

As a man, can I successfully wax my facial hair?

This is a question I've been meaning to ask for ages. I'm not gay (not that that matters!), but I hate shaving and have always wanted to ry waxing my face. Waxing and over the counter stuff requires maintenance. The laser method is permenant and I've not heard of it causing cancer. It's her choice.

Well if your friend is on medication that might be causing the hair to grow like this then there isn't much you can do. If waxing doesn't work and none of the other things work then laser is the next thing in my mind but you can try going to a professional and have them do the waxing, it is different when someone else does it.
Lazer is expensive, and really only works on dark hairs.

Looks like her best bet is razors. Sorry.

Oh, she can also talk to her doctor about aldactone (spironolactone). This can help decrease the amount of hairs, but it also decreases the rest of your body hair.

I have really bad facial hair and i've been waxing/bleaching for about six years...?

i just got done waxing it...and it's tough!! i mean, it's easier to wax my eyebrows because the hair comes off during the first try...with my upper lip, i gotta do it at least three times on one spot...i think shaving would be easier...and i might actually be more comfortable with that until i have the money to get it permanently removed..but i'm worried...how many women actually shave their upper lip? and how often do they have to do this? does it irritate? and how to most men feel about this?? my boyfriend knows about my facial hair and he tells me he doesn't notice...but i'm still worried...and tired of waxing and bleaching in between...help!!!I have really bad facial hair and i've been waxing/bleaching for about six years...?
Do you have a boyfriend? I'd be so embarrassed to kiss mine if I'd just had a shave!! Keep at the waxing and bleaching... shaving isn't good for your face, as proved by men with acne-beards!I have really bad facial hair and i've been waxing/bleaching for about six years...?
Listen ..Shave it if you need to..You dont have to tell anyone or do it in front of anyone ..If it works then do it..Remember when you shave it you will get a smooth effect for most of the day so stop worrying and do whatever it takes to make you feel well..Let it be your secret and yours alone..Good luck..

Ignore those other answers..Acne has nothing to do with shaveing..You can see the difference with the female answers and mine...They are over reacting as usuall..
How hairy are you? You may not even need to wax. I just used an electric shaver made for facial hair. Then, I get a compact and tweeze out the few dark hairs left behind. I do this daily and it takes less than 30 seconds. It is not noticable to anyone.
My best friend used to have the same complaint. She learned how to do threading and I would recommend it to you, too. I personally don't know how to do it.. but it seems to be a better alternative which doesn't irritate skin. It can be done at any time and even on shorter hairs and only requires normal, cotton, sewing thread! No expensive creams etc.

You could look up a place where it's done near you and try to learn how. Or you could google it.
    DO NOT SHAVE...

Marks on Upper Lip from Cold Facial Wax - Help !?

The day before yesterday, I waxed my upper lip using cold wax. I might have waxed the same area over too many times or something because i was left with red, blotchy marks. A day later, the marks more resemble scars or burn marks. They are dark now and have crusted.

How long will it take for the marks to fully heal and what are some remedies to quicken the healing process?

Thank YouMarks on Upper Lip from Cold Facial Wax - Help !?
Ok, you never wax over the same area twice.

You took off a few too many layers of skin if you're crusting and scabbing.

There isn't a whole lot you can do other than put something like Mederma on it. Don't pick it. Leave it alone. It'll go away within a week.Marks on Upper Lip from Cold Facial Wax - Help !?
The marks are where the top layer of skin have been removed. Do not use any make up till the healing is over with, depending on how bad could take up to a week. put a little bit or E45 cream on not lots! just a little so it does not crack the sin while healing
Well, they should heal up when their ready. No idea how long it will take. When waxing anypart on your face right after take face wash or something high in alcohol content and rub it where you waxed it should help.

  • I have a little facial hair although it is blonde its annoying. Wax or cream? Will it grow back thicker if i?

used the hair removal cream? how long will the hair stay away before growing back?I have a little facial hair although it is blonde its annoying. Wax or cream? Will it grow back thicker if i?
I know what you mean, I have the same problem, it's blond but annoying. Waxing does not make it grow back thicker (I don't know about the cream). Waxing can actually help reduce the appearance of hair by making it grow back thinner and sometimes makes it stop growing all together.

This is because when you wax something you are ripping it out from the root which damages the hair follicle and over time it may all together stop producing the hair or it will come in thinner.

It takes time for this to happen but your hair will never come in thicker or darker.

How long it last varies from person to person, I have to wax mine once every 6/7 weeks.I have a little facial hair although it is blonde its annoying. Wax or cream? Will it grow back thicker if i?
I have to say i prefer waxing as for me it last longer (about 3 weeks) although if you do have it done go to a salon as the at home was kits tend to be rubbish and leave alot of wax on the skin. Once you have been waxed make sure you keep applying a antiseptic cream as this will take down the redness and stop any infections / scabbing. Waxing does not make the hair grow back thicker - if anything the hair appears finer.
I use Sally Hanson removing cream. It losens the hairs in a few minutes and then you wash it off. The rest is easy to tweeze. It lasts a couple weeks or so. Problem with waxing, it's painful and I think you have to wait until your hair is a certain length...

Edit: AND the wax is messy. Anyway, I don't have issues with burning with the cream because you have to take it off soon enough. Leave it on too long and you might have some temporary burning.
do NOT use any type of hair removal cream on your face. it will leave the spot burning for a while and it hurts, trust me.
i used hair removal cream monthes ago! and its sitll gone, altohugh this will rash if you dont use 'facial' i'd do hair removal :)

Will waxing make body hair and facial hair grow back more thicker or thinner for teenagers?

I asked my mom about this and she said it'll grow thinner for adults since they are old and it'll grow thinner and a bit weaker and because teenagers are still growing, our hair will grow thicker especially because in puberty how were still growing and we are young enough to grow strong enough rooted hairs. Which is it? Because I was planning to shave but i don't want to do it if it grows back thicker. Will waxing make body hair and facial hair grow back more thicker or thinner for teenagers?
Pro D. Ian. Okay it's true that it doesn't grow thicker but some hair removal methods like shaving WILL OBVIOUSLY MAKE HAIR GROW BACK LOOKING THICKER though it isn't. Haven't you seen people who have been shaving their mustaches their whole lives and if they go days without shaving their mustache and bears you can clearly see the mustache because of the thickness?????????

Well anyways it's true that it actually doesn't grow thicker if you wax because when you wax, you pull the hair from it's roots so it won't be able to grow ';thicker'; looking. As long as you don't shave, it'll be fine. I tryed waxing and it came back thin as it was before :].Will waxing make body hair and facial hair grow back more thicker or thinner for teenagers?
i am 14 and i waxed when i was 13. it didnt grow back thicker. it grew back what it normally was. if u dont want to shave almost everyday then i think you should wax

There is nothing you can do to make your hair grow in thicker. Not waxing or shaving or anything else. There is a myth that after shaving, the hair grows back thicker. The reason people think so is that the ends of the hairs are blunt instead of tapered, so it appears thicker, but it really isn't. So you don't need to worry about hair coming back thicker.

The only things that will make hair grow in thicker are age and hormones.

    Hope that helps.

    [EDIT]

asdf: The question was, will it actually make it thicker or thinner, not will it make it LOOK thicker. I also stated that it does look thicker, while it actually isn't. I also stated why. Your answer essentially just restates some of what I said and doesn't contribute anything additional.

=(Does Waxing A Mustache Make the Facial Hair Come back Worse?
dont wax just continue bleaching till your old enough and have enough money to get lazer hair removalDoes Waxing A Mustache Make the Facial Hair Come back Worse?
No. All your hair grows at the same speed no matter what you do. In a couple of months it should get darker and thicker. Cutting or shaving has no effect on hair growth. The cut ends are easier to feel then the soft and often worn thinner tips of uncut hair wherever it is located.
    try bleaching first

if it doesnt make it better WAX

but just like waxing any hair .. you need to keep doing it

it wont come back worst but it's possible that it would grow a different direction.

    or laser?
just keep it shaved off if you don,t like it.
    no
Your mom is right. There are some circumstances in which waxing can reduce hair growth, but moustache growth is hormonally-stimulated and waxing is likely to cause a rush of testosterone-rich blood to the area and cause regrowth to be coarser and also more obvious because the hair root may have been distorted.

Let's look at the causes and the options available to you:

Yes, it's a moustache -- some girls develop a moustache, just like boys do.

Most guys are OK about girls with, for example, a slight moustache.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache. Believe me, it shows up far, far worse.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin and does not cause the hair to grow more or coarser or faster. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for girls and women, are probably those from the men's range of Philips/Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most girls and women who try a men's Philips/Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

How do you get rid of facial hair without having to shave, pluck, or wax?

Electrolysis is an option. Here's a link to a site you could check out:

bleach it so it doesnt show but there is like this thing and you turn it round and round the hair and it goes away its reeli easy and very cheap you can buy it in superdrug it looks like a nail file and is pink cant remember the name sorry
If you have dark hair try bleaching it. Otherwise, laser hair removal would be a good option. I also saw an infomercial on a product called ';Vaniqua'; that says it helps unwanted hair stop growing. Who knows!
