Are facial exfoliants which contain synthetic wax OK for the skin?

Is it harmful ?Are facial exfoliants which contain synthetic wax OK for the skin?

Sorry, but I had to say EWW! outloud as I read your question. Anything that is synthetic is harmful to our bodies. Let alone, wax can sometimes clog pores and lead to blackheads or melia, which are tiny white clogged pores that are hard to extract. If this is the type of exfoliant I am thinking of, one which you apply to face like a cream and then rub off, then some of this type work amazingly for sensitive/mature skin, they are called gommage and French folk love them, but the wax should NOT be synthetic, beeswax is ideal and wax from certain botanicals are super too. Its good that you took a look at the ingredients, because lately nothing ever comes natural, and are we as humans not natural? Are we rubber dolls that deserve synthetic products? I don't think so, your skin deserves better, natural ingredients that will keep you looking young and healthy, so keep investigating the products you use and I hope you find one that works for you.
Yes, if the exfoliant contains synthetic ingredients it is harmful to you and isn't doing any good to your body. Here is a list of easy homemade exfoliant recipes.

Sea salt glow (my favorite!)

Make a paste using olive oil, fresh lemon juice or water to moisten the sea salt. Apply to face and gently rub skin, rinse.

(olive oil is good for dry or normal skin, lemon juice is better for oily or acne prone skin and water can be used for whichever.)

Oatmeal and honey exfoliant (good for acneic or sensitive skin.)

Powder some oatmeal and then mix with a good amount of water and put in microwave for about 30 seconds. After you've made it add some honey and rub on face and rinse.

Baking soda microdermbrasion/exfoliant recipe

Make a paste with baking soda and water, then gently rub on face and rinse.

Milk %26amp; brown sugar exfoliant

Make a paste with milk and brown sugar, gently rub on face, rinse.

Hope this helps!!!!
Synthetics are not good. Always use natural ingredients.

I use papaya kojic(best exfoliant) base soap and cream which are

available on line. Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

These work wonders.
