Tips for facial waxing?

I just bought a kit, I was just wondering if there were any strict do's or don't's that wouldn't be on the box.

Make sure you hold your skin till its tight so you don't pull your skin off.
Take an asprin before. It reduces the pain and the irritation.
for eyebrows-- you can always take off more, but if you take off too much then uh oh!
wash your skin before you wax


and one thing that definitely helps the wax strip to grab more hair is to apply a little bit of baby powder to your skin before putting on the strip. it works for me when i wax my upper lip and eyebrows. it also helps the wax strip to not rip off your skin (which has happened to me. it ripped of a tiny bit of my skin because i left the strip on too long and it dried. my skin took a few weeks to heal completely)


also, your skin might turn red for a few hours after waxing so i suggest doing it before going to bed. in the morning it will be just fine then. i made the mistake of doing it one hour before i had to go someplace and even makeup couldnt hide the red rash :(
