Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are ';permanent'; hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
I don't think it will cause pigmentations. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for about 4 years and i haven't noticed any change in my skin color. But the waxing won't cause your hair to grow back as fast as suppose to shaving.
Try electrolyisis, or lazer if your hair is dark. Lazer only works on dark hair.
The most important thing is that you get waxed by a preofessional, and then you will have no problems. DO NOT get waxed by your hair stylest; more often than not, they are not certified as an aesthetician(someone who is trained in waxing, facials, etc). Your best choice is to go to a spa.
